Bike Plan Over Winter - What ya gonna do like
Discussion
Well I was finally going to sell/trade in my faithful blackbird but having spent a bit of money on it recently with oil cooler line (honda parts prices are stupid even at the discount places) and new rear tyre due to a puncture and with the onsite of crap weather I can't face messing up a new or nearly new bike over my winter commute in London. Therefore I'll keep it until March 2016 its 10th birthday.
Also amazingly I've had main franchised dealers turning down any PX (not just my bike) on certain cheap deals on nearly new/ex demo stuff - guess times are hard.
So I'll be commuting to work over winter save for any snow/very icy conditions on the bike again.

Just bought (and my friend picked up for me) a winter commuter hack which I'll show on here when I collect it Thursday evening.
Then I'll take the 'blade off the road apart from a few blasts when the weather is ok and give it a little freshen up for sunny days and track use next year. Current wishlist is decent discs, rear sets and wider clip ons... and a USD fork conversion if I can find out/work out how much it will bugger the geometry.

Will be commuting on the Honda still, unless there is snow or ice.
Plans for the GSXR 750 are replace radiator as current one has had quite a few stone hits, replace exhaust header bolts with titanium ones as a couple of them are a bit rusty, replace coolant hoses with black Samco silicone ones and finally am considering replacing brake lines with braided ones.

17" front wheel and 954 front end on the Blade. I'm wondering if a set of Marchesinis from a 749 Ducati can be made to fit.
Are you talking 900rr I assume? If you find out would you mind PM'ing me as it'll save me the hassle of doing the work.I'm thinking the yokes and forks from a 954 should just slot in... shirley?

Bought a salvage Hornet for my mate and gradually doing it up. So once done he'll go from a Thundercat to a modern Hornet.

Stow the SRAD away, sell it in the spring and buy a ZX-10R or an R1.
Good plan.My Daytona will be getting over-wintered in the garage. Hooked up to the battery conditioner (just bought a CTEK MXS 5.0 the other day) and sitting waiting for spring. My CG125 was a right mess last winter with salt and ACF-50, and I don't have room or cash to buy a snotter to go alongside it until the salt and bad weather is gone.

Yep, the entire 929/954 front end bolt bolts straight on, even the steering lock works. However I don't want nasty 3 spoke wheels. The easiest fix is the front wheel from an SP1 (if you can find one) which matches the rear, but I fancy something a bit different and I love the Marchesinis.I'm thinking the yokes and forks from a 954 should just slot in... shirley?
