If they're good enough for a Saab 900 Turbo and an RS Fiesta...! My bike has three spokers...but I suppose it was penned in about 1995.
I like the look of this bike and no doubt it'll carry on Kawasaki's legacy of barnstorming silliness in terms of power, but this paint job isn't great; it's too fussy.
I just didn't expect a new bike to have an "old style" wheel design. I suppose its like when people started changing their amber indicators for white one's then when they became popular it all swung back the other way..(i'm thinking about the Focus RS boys, dunno if other marques are the same)I like the look of this bike and no doubt it'll carry on Kawasaki's legacy of barnstorming silliness in terms of power, but this paint job isn't great; it's too fussy.
Agree with most of the comments - liking the looks of a bike is a subjective and personal thing, and this does not do it for me. Not to mention that 1990 called asking for their wheels back. And the dash too, though functional, is distinctly Fisher Price next to the TFT loveliness of an R1 or 1299.
I do like those forks though, and the titanium bits that come as standard.
I would be interested to see how this fares on-track against the latest crop of superbikes - am I right in thinking that this is the first of the 'normal' IL4's to have all the latest and greatest whizz-bang electronic gadgetry centred around the Bosch IMU? (ETA - just remembered S1000RR, duh!)
The 207hp is ram air assisted so expect to see this drop sub-200 when the mags inevitably put it on a dyno.
