Very little posted about the rider who simply isn't good enough, to quote many on here.

If the Hinda finishing places were reversed I'm sure there'd be calls for DP to be sacked as usual.

Rossi is looking good now, one more finish ahead of Lorenzo should be enough to then try to follow him home after that. He's got one race of finishing a few places behind Lorenzo in the bank now, which was critical.

What a great race , what a great season it's been .

I still think a few dry races and lorenzos going to win the championship but there's not many races left and the weather seems to be working against him.

Moto3 - great clever race for kent do just enough to beat your title contender and take reduce risk of binning it.

Bit of a nail biting MotoGP.

I think it is going to go down to the form of the factory Hondas, the Yam boi's staying injury free & a mental last round at Valencia.

PI will be epic I hope. Going to start tracking the Aussie weather forecasts now!!!

Another absolute blinder in terms of commentary too. If you tried to manufacture a more unpleasant, charmless, tedious, pointless, hateful, endless, screechy, wittering and godawful noise you'd break science. I'm genuinely cross there's still 3 races to go. I'd honestly rather rim Claire Balding.
I think you should try listening to the commentary rather than the voices in your head.

Not one of those words could be used to describe Huewen or Ryder. Cox and Parrish, god yes, but not these two.

Pedrosa is the boy. Would love to see him get his st together and chase for title in 2016. Well done that man.

On this seasons title, its moving nicely along for a Rossi championship. Wouldn't expect many people not wanting him to win it.

Have seen a post saying De Angelis has had some brain bleeding since initial scans showed nothing. Fingers crossed he'll be OK.

Did they catch it on camera or not? I know the coverage only caught up after he was being attended to but do we know what happened?

Firstly fingers crossed for de Angelis, sounds a lot more serious than initial reports. Hopefully he gets the correct treatment and comes through ok.

Great race, theres tension building for the final three races now.

I know everyone was saying this would be VR's race if it was wet but it shows how good JL is, his riding style is just so smooth. What JL cannot handle is changing conditions in the wet it would appear.
He didn't manage his tyre very well by the looks of it.

Very please for DP, really shown the haters what he's made of over the past two rounds. If he can out score MM in the final three rounds he will no doubt go into next season full of confidence.

After duffing VR up last week i think DP did him a favour this week as he seemed to really tow VR up to JL when at that point the gap between JL and VR looked very stable at 3 odd seconds.

75 points on the table and 18 point buffer. Certainly not enough for vale to start relaxing.
I think JL will outscore him in the next three races but VR can just sit in behind him now.

I expect Rossi is hoping the Hondas can put a strong showing in for the rest of the season so the points that may be lost to JL are fewer.

Danny Kent played a safe race today. He's so close now

Bring on Philip Island

In your opinion. Which is wrong.

I also hate Cox and Parrish.

Thanks for the advice. I don't want to just mute it though (as I mentioned above), as then I won't hear the bikes. I appreciate though that there are people who need to have what they're seeing described to them as they're seeing it, A) it's just that I'd like to be able not to do so as I'm not a witless incompetent and 2) those people are usually my wife watching any film ever.

But tell me more about this feed business, please. If it means I can watch the bikes without hearing Potato Face et Food Beard explain what GOAT stands for again I'll be forever in your debt.

See, now THAT you're correct about. The rest of it though? No. Not even close.

What exactly do you expect commentators to do if not describe the action? confused

I'm fine with commentators if at- the very least, they are good at presenting- which, even if you have all the knowledge in the world, does not make you. Ernest Hemmingway wrote amazing books. Now, Google his speaking voice, and tell me that you'd want him doing the audio book, just because he wrote it.

Yes, I know he's dead. I'm trying to make a point.

My point was- again- that of course tastes and needs and levels of intelligence differ (for example, I don't know anything about chess, so I'm sure I'd be totally cool if someone shouted Rooks! every three or four seconds while his colleague scarfed down sandwiches and occasionly said Boris Spasky as if it were 9 separate words), but on this occasion it's not for me, which is why I asked if there was a service to which I could opt out of the commentary service on offer here, given all of the 'red button' style options we have today.

Apparently there isn't, but there is a feed, so I'll try that.

I think your confusing 'witless incompetent' with 'you have asked a question, to which you'd like to know the answer', and 'ironic' with 'luckily for you, I can help ' but that's cool. I still think you're great.

Thanks for letting me know it exists. Now, if only I could work out how all this electricity gets into my infernal calculating machine so I can track down where it is, I'll be all set.

Some very positive reports from MotoGP.com

"The San Marino rider is currently being treated at the Dokkyo Hospital.

Update 12/10/2015: On Monday, De Angelis had a head and chest CT scan, which reassuringly showed that the intracranial hematoma he suffered was unchanged while the contusions to his lungs are slightly resolving. The rider remains in a critical condition but as his sedation was reduced, he was able to talk and oriented in time and space. He'll undergo a further head CT scan in the next 48 to 72 hours to ensure the intracranial hematoma is stable while the conditions of the lungs will need further evaluation.

MotoGP™ Safety Adviser Loris Capirossi and FIM Grand Prix Safety Officer Franco Uncini visited de Angelis on Monday morning; during his treatment in Japan, the rider is assisted by Dr Michele Zasa from the Clinica Mobile."

Excellent MotoGP race. Wasn't expecting Rossi to finish in front of Lorenzo, so that extra points buffer heading the Philip Island will be crucial.

My gut feel has always been that JL will nudge it and I still think he will..

Rossi now has to finish places above lorenzo or directly behind him if he wins and I just don't think that is going to happen. DP is riding well and will take a second at PI.

I get the impression that MM was riding off the pace so he didn't fall and cause further injury to his hand.
