Did he club race for 15 years?

I don't feel that point has been made enough...

15 years, as a club racer?

Yes, 15 years I believe it was. As a club racer. He mentions somewhere I think.

Inexperienced though. But FAST!

As an aside, isn't the phrase "He wouldn't see which way I went" nonsensical? Unless he was pursuing you with his eyes shut, at the very least, he would be able to see which way you went, whether he could keep up or not.

I reckon I could cover ground faster, more safely, on the roads if I wear high vis and ride a white BMW 1200 with blue lights than on a superbike wink

You know what you don't see on British police bikes? Gun racks.

Here's some ST-1300s with a shotgun on a rack, but I've also seen them with an AR-15.

Speaking of police bikes, here's something a few sports bike riders may have trouble with wink

Those pesky cops can be persistent bugg3rs when you steal their doughnuts. The only crime that's more heinous is nicking their jammy dodgers.

Christ Almighty - you are easily impressed with utter irrelevant ,bks are you not ?
Wow - a gun rack on a barge - putting ( presumably ) loaded firearms in full view with easy access to relieve , of the general public and standing inner city traffic - totally awesome , cool and wonderful - ooooh such big guns too ....!

It develops - a host of nerds wasting their days pirouetting on their barges to impress each other about the nimbleness and awesome handling characteristics of said barges .......Holy Cow Batpeople ..... the sports bike riders sat supping their tea having actually " ridden " their bikes put out on real roads in the real world will no doubt be gutted they failed to get in on the lardarse Moto Gymkhana scene early on , to achieve such amazing levels of boredom ......

Each to their own ....... keep the faith ..... happy patrolling ....I'm sure you'll catch everybody you ever come across , as long as they are contained within a 50 square metre car park .....!

I think you'll find most 'barges' do far higher mileages on the real road than most sports bikes. Some even ride in the rain.

Crikey - that's where we must all be missing out then ! Wish I'd known - all that wasted time in the saddle - we would all be so much acerer if we'd known that - I guess ...cheers for the " heads-up" .......

Thread tangents are a common part of Biker Banter. A tangent about big police bikes with gun racks or big police bikes doing what no sportsbike rider on this thread has posted a vid of themselves doing seems a lot more interesting than yet another sportsbike rider explaining how AWESOME they are.

You can't have one, you don't ride in the rain.

I do. I've ridden in some biblical floods this year, although not through choice.

Plenty of steering lock and instant low-down torque on that harley.

Imagine trying the same on a blade, etc. Loads of clutch slip due to massuve 1 st gear, and turning circle of a cargo ship
