Adjusting your lane position for a bike is appreciated, and I'll always raise a thankyou for those that do, but please be patient if I don't pass when you believe it is safe or appropriate. I can perhaps see more happening on the road ahead, or like on Sunday, a kind dude in a van pulled over a couple of times anticipating me passing over a solid white which would have entailed crossing it. Sometimes I would if space in the lane, but I won't cross them. He may not have realised, or thought I was one of the bikers that do.

Even if I don't pass, the fact that you moved in a particular way, lets me know you use your mirrors, so thank you, and any others reading that do the same. Obviously, some drivers are just wandering in their lane, or texting on the mobile, or on a call.

If the bike in front of me won't pass when you move, just wait a sec for me to pass them too haha. Really though, some riders adopt a position that makes drivers nervous, or move a little, but don't take the opportunity. I think they should drop back, as it isn't fair on the considerate driver if the rider is over cautious, or usually just too close. I see it loads, just hanging there and making no progress, and oblivious to other bikes on the same road that would, they're worse than car drivers not using the mirrors.

It's always nice when a motorcyclist opens their fingers outstretched on the LH grip to acknowledge and express thanks for easing to the left to let them pass.

Woman moved over to the left this morning and, as I started to pass, she drifted towards the white line again!

She'd only picked up her phone and started texting...

If I check my mirror and there's suddenly a bike there, I'll usually pull over a little to let him know I've seen him, and if he's gone for it ease off a bit if I can see anything oncoming.

Despite full well knowing that the amount of space you pullover wouldn't make me any more likely to go for the overtake when people do it for me. It's not like oh yes I can now squeeze between two cars. I still fully pull in to the other lane and only if there is room to do so.
