I did think about making some full carbon tubes, easy to make as you can get foam that you shape, lay up the carbon around it then cut or melt the foam out of the middle. That way you get a 1 piece tube with no joins and just clearcoat and flat the outside.
As I say though it's an old bike and I have no idea if I like it. It could be one of those that I keep forever or sell after 1 ride.
