Unless you have just about any ford from 2006 or so onwards. Then you just hit the heated windscreen button.
Had it on a '92 Ford.I keep thinking of making a heated seat on the bike, that'd keep my core warm etc.

Should be mandatory fitment by now.
Ugh, do they still have all those tiny elements in the screen? I kept a friend's Mondeo for nearly a year while he was abroad, and took it for a run every couple of weeks. Driving it in the dark with oncoming headlights was a horrible experience as the tiny little elements made the glare much worse. I'd pay NOT to have a heated windscreen if they are still like that. It's weird at first but you get used to it and don't notice it after a bit. The benefit of not scraping in the icy cold, and less than a minute's wait for a clear screen is well worth it A self-defrosting windscreen makes for a happy start to my day. Easily pleased obviously.Sushifiend said:

Well you don't have a bunch of Lemmings hiding behind the dash to come and clear it for you In all honesty I think A/C and this are the best gadgets I've ever had on a car.

Surrey to Canary Wharf for me.
Go over Southwark Bridge - Usually Empty Friday and Today nose to tail cars due to all the roadworks on Lower Thames Street and up near the Tower of London. Plsu Aurther Street is closed as they are building near it.
Its been like it for well over 6 months for Boris Cycle "superhighway" How long does it take to put a bike lane in !!
The fun part is filtering past all the cars on the brige - but making sure you dont get a muppet who does a u turn !
I walk over that bridge everyday - as well as getting to look at it all day long. It's never not busy this week, given the road closures, but yeah - so many psuedo-mini cabs with their ill-thought-out u-turns - rather you than me!Go over Southwark Bridge - Usually Empty Friday and Today nose to tail cars due to all the roadworks on Lower Thames Street and up near the Tower of London. The walk from the kitchen to the office was tricky this morning. I really shouldn't have tried to carry the coffee *and* the post at the same time.
There were road works as well on the way to drop my daughter at her grandparents, I think I was delayed by at least 2 minutes.
In all seriousness I had to drive into (the outskirts of) London the other week for 9am (Just off J3 M4 fwiw) and I don't know how people do it on a daily basis. It's just horrific.

That's why we ride in. If I get a lift in with my mate, I get picked up 30-35 minutes earlier and arrive 10 minutes later. Balls to that every dayfleegle said:

Balls to that every dayPersonally taking the bike saves me no time when I do go into the office. By the time I've got kitted up and got the bike out and then get unkitted at work I've lost any time saving (which is normally <5min). The only time it would save me time is on the once in while that there is an accident/incident on the Motorway.
