Bike, it's a tool as well as a toy for me.

If I were suddenly single again I wouldn't even own a car.

I immediately went for car, but then on reflection realised that I could almost do without a car now, as I use the train so much and can walk to the station, so could give it up. Then I realised I can't get my trackbike to the track without a van licence.

In all honesty I could live without both now. Quite scary and one to make me consider buying a dull car next time round and whether I even need / want a bike anymore.

It would have to be the car for me too. I walk to work so no commute but I couldn't live with the winter months on a bike. I have never been so depressed as sitting on the motorway on my old bike, in the pissing rain and howling wind. I wanted to get on the hard shoulder and throw myself in front of a Lorry. Sunny days good, stty days, no thankyou.

I would hold a bike licence right now for the next 5-10 years then switch to cars, when I can afford exotica and live in a quieter area.

You didn't clearly specify that we can't switch tongue out

Well the OP was far more clear cut in my head, I read it as either cars or bikes, no ifs, no buts. Things like I'll do with the bikes and the missus can drive are a bit of a cop out in my opinion.
It's a fantasy, so why try and find a workable compromise?

It would have to be the car purely for practical reasons, though I'd be very pissed of about it.

While I have always been a car lover, my recent love for riding supersedes it. I have 2 bikes for commuting duties and fun. The car is the family work horse and the wife can drive that when she passes her test!

I went bike because I could at the moment quite happily get by without a car.

Also because it would be interesting seeing what my employers would have to do as driving a car is an integral part of my job...

Of the two driving is still the first love.
The bike is always more of a toy and mainly fair weather only at that.
This sums it up nicely. My first word was "Car" but I only started riding when I was 25.

This, but then I'd convert my bikes to track bikes & stick a tow bar on the car tongue out

Ride on the roads. So much better than driving! My commute on my bike takes under 30 mins and has taken me well over twice that in the car.

It IS possible to ride a sportsbike through Winter, because I've done it for the last 15 and only got a car 5 years ago. I do also have a few YouTube vids of me sliding backwards down snowy hills on a ZX9R, though...

But above all, it's FUN! I love the commute to and from work, even though that's now into Birmingham City centre!

Can I still have cars on track, though, please?
