Saw and sat on the Thruxton R today at the MCN show, One of these will probably find it's way into my garage at some point over the next few years. There were some plastic parts which felt out of place, but that's where the accessories catalogue comes in smile

It's VERY narrow, much more than it appeared in pictures, it fells like a proper cafe racer, just needs a lower set of clip ons and changing the idicators, rear fender and front mudguard which were all plastic. It's also pretty small, but me at 6ft 3 didn't feel cramped on it, just cafe racer style cramped biggrin I spent a fair while admiring it, it's a lovely thing cloud9

It was heaving there so couldn't get any pics of the entire bike.

The (cable) clutch is ridicusouly light too, oh and as you can see it only revs to 7k rpm, so loads of torque it is then!

It is a large part of the reason, according to the bloke who gave us the factory tour last year...
Small world. I went on a factory tour last year. All the workers that I met gave the impression that they care about the company and the products, and aren't just doing a 9-5er.

Did you see the dyno runs? I wouldn't have minded a go on that myself.
Nah, we went on a Friday afternoon so there was hardly anything happening...fun because we got to walk in and out of the lines in a way we wouldn't have been able to had they been running but I'd like to have seen hem actually building as I was working on the XE line at JLR Solihull at the time...by comparison, Triumph looks shabby and old-fashioned. I was a bit miffed they still had the radio blaring out at stupid volume while we went round, too.

So a very specific 95.6bhp for the Thruxton R.
