Has "talented footballer' become a euphemism for violent young thug?

And WTF was Linda Robson doing at the vigil? Not sure that really helps add an element of legitimacy to proceedings!
Lazy journalism at its finest. The quip about promising young footballer was made well before the article was written. If they're too old to be "promising" then they're always described as "once on xxxx club's books and played for the reserves as a youngster"

I fking hate this celebrity vigil bks too, ever since Barbara Windsor was at The Kryas funeral it's become de rigeur to legitimise scumbags and thugs and idolise them.

He played for Peel FC who are an isle of man team.....So I'm guessing its not them but a local London team that is basically pub football.

At a guess, no job, limited education, nothing really going for him bar he plays football on a Sunday, lets call him a promising footballer to be nice.

1,000 people marched on the police station asking for justice?
They want his dead body put in prison for 4 years, but to get released after 6 months for good behavior?

did anyone shout "No Justice No peace" that was popular with the Dugan Family, who was also a promising footballer. Football best avoid it if you want to reach middle age.

How can I be born innept (sic) to respond to something that didn't exist when I was born? Oh and I can spell inept too.

Weird, isn't it? We all converse in relatively readable plain old English, yet he shuffles about the thread dribbling in his queer baby-talk Pidgin English, and we're the ones who are innept (sic) because we cannot understand a word (if his dribbling indeed conforms to the definition) he says. He's just a big ol' Doofus, and is best ignored.

BMbler? B(oneheaded) M(u)mbler? The comma (,) in your sentence above is also surplus to requirements, and 'born', by definition when describing someone who is obviously sufficiently mature to post on an internet forum? That'll be "were" then. Past tense, old chap.

BMbler should have said:
Why do you reply to something you were born too inept to respond to?
It's still not an ideally phrased question, but it's a start... wink

Every post he/she/it has ever made on PH has been nonsense pidgin English. Loon tried to converse with it using random words and the responses were no less intelligible than normal biggrin
