No one held a gun to these st bags necks to go and steal. They made the choice, they paid for it. Simple.

If this was the US, they would have put two bullets each in to him, and then left him on the ground unattended for thirty minutes until they could sure the area was safe. At least that's how some videos seem to go.

However, this being the UK, there will months-years of inquiry, helpless-looking parents and families, and lots of earnestly disgruntled (grandstanding) MPs and 'community leaders' passive-aggressively threatening that they need more 'liason' and dosh or stuff like this will happen and riots etc.... yadda.

As we all know, people have no agency at all, and start committing serious crime, such as armed robbery, through nothing other than the compulsion forced on them from the vast privilege that non-criminal people enjoy. Basically, it's your fault, not theirs.
If this was the US the police officers involved would be suing the parents for having to watch the crash.

why did they run if innocent surely most people on seeing blue lights stop pull out the way not as if the police are chasing most people....

Its amazing how so many promising footballers are tared with the same brush
From my regular observations of the idiots around me on the A14, the innocent have to actually see the brightly painted car with the flashing lights and loud siren sitting on their rear bumper before they pull over. Normally takes a while.....

Just gets better according to that report, crash happened outside primary school and one of his mates had already been killed on a scooter during a Police chase. Dread to imagine what would have happened had the kids been coming in or out of school.

Wow, guess I am a heartless bugger as reading the article just makes me wish for a Daily Mash rewrite. The chap killed was old enough to know better and although he may not have quite deserved horribly violent death, that's exactly what happened, and only himself and his direct family should bear the responsibility.

Re: An IPCC investigation found the actions of officers involved in chasing him “may constitute driving and health and safety offences”.

Pursuing police officers or the commander in charge, for attempting to apprehend someone who commits a crime, is the only thing wrong about the entire sequence of events (based on current facts).

The scooter shown next to the ambulance in that report looks similar to the one in the Crimewatch/Mugged for scooter thread.
I thought that could it be the same one?

Has "talented footballer' become a euphemism for violent young thug?

And WTF was Linda Robson doing at the vigil? Not sure that really helps add an element of legitimacy to proceedings!
