Ok I admit it, today my hands were fking freezing. I would have gladly plunged them into a 'chewbaka's ass' muff if available to me. Nearly lost two fingertips by the time I arrived at work. Given everyhing else was warm some concessions to reality may be required.

I left Bristol about 6:15 this morning. You know when you put your visor down initially and its clear and the visibility slowly gets worse due to condensation but you get used to it. Well I realised by about Swindon I couldn't really see anything so went to wipe my visor at it had actually frozen the water on the outside.

I had to frantically rub the visor to defrost it eek

It then was fine all the way to about Hammersmith. Nice dry ride though

All the people with cold hands...get some bar muffs and heated grips! I rode 120 miles down the motorway last night with just sealskin cotton gloves on (my dainese D-Dry's I normally wear were far from dry) and it was like having my hands in an oven.

Urbano Tucano fur lined muffs. It is like putting my hand in chewbakas ass...so warm.
I refer you to RJs description 'id rather die of frostbite' than use muffs. Hopefully it won't come to that, inner gloves work pretty well for me.
Depends how long your commute is i guess. I am not sure who RJ is, but he/she would have these muffs on in a heartbeat if they were doing a lengthy one!

Saying that, i could do with some heated gloves and trousers for the all round cosyness.

I'm tellin' ya - Held Freezer IIs and inner gloves.

I experimented today putting the inner gloves and the main gloves on the hall radiator while I had breakfast - they stayed really warm for about 4 miles and then went to just comfortable and stayed there for the rest of the commute. It was about zero, some ice on the roads in small patches.
The inner gloves make a load of difference; but I'm really really impressed with this new combo.

Have any of you used Keis heated gloves that plug into the jacket?

Does it lower the heat of the jacket as the gloves are drawing power as well?

WFH today, as I needed to sort out a flat tyre on one of the cars, but I WOULD have taken the bike to work if I'd been going in !

They won't lower the power of the jacket - in fact you should bump up the fuse in the power feed to accommodate the current drawn by the extra gear.

Wheeled the bike out for the 1st time this year, a bit nippy but the roads were dry'ish' so could give it some beans

That's what I have, however this morning at -4 in Kent my fingers were still a little cold after a 45 minute commute.

Heated gloves next winter for me.
I have some Keis gloves I can't get on with if you're interested.

My new heated grips were a god send, my hands were so hot, the complete opposite of the pain ive been suffering the past few weeks. Wore my summer gloves did 25 miles at a consistent 60mph with a windchill factor of -8 or more, my hands were toasting. (no muffs or bark busters etc)

My highlight(s).

Thought i'd get some good Karma letting a car driver know they had no brake lights other than the 3rd high level, also noticing a headlight out as I moved past!

Instead pulled in due to oncoming traffic whilst filtering to have the car now behind me attempt to undertake and push me off telling me I was 'pushing in'. Got to laugh!

What size are they? Do you mind me asking why you don't get on with them?

Sorry to the guy filtering just before the roundabout where the new Tesla garage is on the A4, I moved into filter and he was roasting down the traffic filtering. Luckily I stopped in time but he might need new underwear hehe

This morning I asked the nice lady on the Kawasaki with the red pony tail what she was listening to, as I could see her bobbing her head and generally rocking it through the traffic. It should have been obvious that because she was listening to something, she was even less likely to hear me shouting at her through two neck warmers and a full face lid. Made worse by the fact my poorly thought out approach had triggered my voice control and de-tuned my radio to a frequency not tuned in. So through a load of static and robotic voices in my helmet, I was just able to make out her response of "I'm sorry I cant hear you." I thought it might help to try to explain I was also listening to music, by pointing to my Cardo SHO1. Strangely, she didn't seem that keen to engage with the incomprehensible buffoon on the grandpa bike, adorned in a Hein Gericke duvet and comedic winter gloves, peering out at her through a pulled up neck warmer like some sort of terrorist and gesturing at his helmet whilst gyrating something under 6" of goretex and nylon..

Smooth.

Thanks, I'll pick some up cheap over summer I think, got too much other stuff to buy before next winter!!

Had someone nearly pull out on me this morning while filtering, I was level with her front wheel when she started moving across!!

She did the old 'if I stare straight ahead and don't look at him he's not there' thing when I went WTF rolleyes

I think they're medium I'll check when I go home today.
I find them too bulky and I don't seem to have enough feeling through them I put mitts on with heated grips so I can still use summer gloves.

These are the gloves I'm not happy with they just don't let me feel the controls in my opinion.
They came with a bike I bought so no loss to me as I plan to keep the bike.
