Having ridden to London Bridge from SW1 yesterday, & then back up to the A1, I can understand the frustration everyone has with the cycle super highway. Seems that split the road into thirds now - 1/3 for things with engines, 1/3 for cyclists and 1/3 for a fking traffic island. What a nasty, stty piece of road design.
My sympathy to those of you who have to use it regularly, don't think I'd have the patience.
These road designers/planners really are just a bunch of horrid little s.
Seems they've achieved their aim: to make it horrible unless you're cycling. My sympathy to those of you who have to use it regularly, don't think I'd have the patience.

I didn't find it too bad this morning. Tomorrow is supposed to be a cold one
Likewise. I've put an set of Oxford bar muffs on which i'd had kept from 2002 and only used a couple of times (the last time I had a bike before this year) which are in perfect condition and with my heated grips I'm heavenly toasty. Find as long as my hands are warm everything else is just fine.Fleegle said:

No, you're right, it wasn't bad at all, I posted that looking out of the window and looking at the BBC Weather

Was relatively warm comparatively this morning - yes it is tomorrow and maybe weds that are supposed to be proper cold even here in London.Tomorrow is indeed supposed to be cold, however since my boiler is due for a service I will be wfh
However I have to drink beer after work tomorrow... I'm guessing that means I need the tube and might miss that extra cold riding experience sadly. LOL

It is and it's absolutely massive
On the list is a Black Widow can, but I have to get the boring stuff like grips and top box rack on first. Then maybe a slightly taller screen as I'm a long torsoed 6'2".
Is it the FI CBR600F aka F4i as our US cousins call it? If so you'll get massive fuel savings/additional mileage by investing in a PC3 and map even with the standard can! Mine 2003 (orig German market import) was giving something like another conservative extra 10-15miles to the reserve countdown round town with the standard can and PC3 fitted - the previous owner my mate fitted it all before I bought it.On the list is a Black Widow can, but I have to get the boring stuff like grips and top box rack on first. Rode up there last week. Couldn't believe it. I sat waiting in traffic as there was nowhere to filter past on the bike. Absolute joke My sympathy to those of you who have to use it regularly, don't think I'd have the patience.

No, it's the last of the carbed model.lindrup119 said:
Picking this up on Saturday, heated grips already in the post.
Very nice!My highlight (or not) this week is picking up a puncture on my 200 mile old VFR-Honda have quoted £142 fitted for a new Dunlop Roadsport II
In unconnected news, I've acquired a shed (106 diesel) to take the strain/miles off the VFR-I'm turning into a fair weather biker already! Dry, salt free commutes will be on the bike still though.
Well, my ride home became interesting. Came up behind some shonky old BMW of Y-reg vintage, with the number plate hanging at 45 degrees on one screw and a single pannier held on with a webbing strap. He pulled into lane 2 (motorway) so I passed him, whereupon he shot back out into lane 3 and parked himself under my numberplate with his headlight on full beam. Couldn't see a thing for the retina burn coming off my mirrors, so I pulled back into lane 2 whereupon he shot past me and ferked off. Most odd.

Not to worry equally as good without any of the FI crap to deal with Actually my last carbed bike 99 R6 owned around 2005 was great, the throttle response and mid range was infinitely better in my view than the 2003 GSXR600 I owned before that which got 'borrowed' on a perm basis without my permission.
