Yes! I had 03 CBR600F two bikes before. Zero issues with cold weather running.
I'd get it looked at, could just need a service.

yep, ordered some oil and a filter for it this morning. Considering doing the spark plugs too. It may be a factor of just how cold it is, given the neighbours I start it when on after locking the garage and ride immediately though fear of waking all up, either that or a slight blow in the exhaust (think there is a small one), now doubt not helped by the exhaust thats on there (scorpion IIRC)

The weird running is almost a hesitation at really low rev's which goes away near immediately as you twist harder, also got a weird noise/rattle that increases with the rev's - sounds nothing like the cam chain tensioners recorded on youtube though

First ride today after having my gallbladder out last week and first test of my new heated jacket.

Accidentally pulled a small power wheelie pulling away from a set of lights. I could tell the college students waiting to cross the road couldn't believe how cool I was.

I'd change the CCT I had that issue.. mine had a rattle about 5k revs for reference. Was quiet/quieter before 5k and after 5k revs.
Save for getting geared up I always ride my bikes while still cold. Given the aftermaket can wondering if thats causing the issues.. didn't have anything like that with mine. I was running a PC3 with the standard exhaust for the significant fuel saving on a tank full and the better crisper throttle response you got as a result of leaning it out via the map.

Thanks for that, very helpful - this rattle starts at ~5k rpm so sounds like the jobby (ashamedly I haven't pushed it much over to see if it goes, probably for the better considering I got my license 10 days ago...)

I'll get a new one and get it fitted asap smile

And in Sod's law style I managed to drop the bike just after leaving work, very, very slowly.

Front tyre lowsided me at the junction of London Wall and Cophall Av, on either the metal drain cover or the tarmac-brick transition...crash bung saved 90% of the damage thankfully.

Just waiting on old SOS now as the battery also appears to be flat in addition to a bent gear lever.

Looks like it's. It just a chain tensioner I'm collecting from dobles tomorrow, now need a new bung (may go aftermarket), a new gear lever, a new engine cover and likely a battery....bliss!

Came the closest I've ever been to being knocked off today and I'll put my hands up it was probably my fault.
I was in a new area (Chelsea) I should have taken my time and scoped the route out as I will be doing it reaularly soon.
But being a dick I rushed when I didn't need to. Lesson learnt today.
This is my eighth month commuting on a bike in London today taught me a lesson.

Oops, i can confirm that R&G crash bungs do indeed save lots of damage on cbr600f of 2003 vintage, don't ask me how i know. FWR got the bike sorted out for next to nothing after mini cab cut me up in Dec 2007. I virtually stopped full on emergency style before the car which pulled right across my path and the bloody front locked and tucked right at the last moment as it was damp cold and stty. I was literally left standing over the bike which fell on its right hand side. Screen busted, fairing brackets all bent up, rear pedal bent up. Fairing just had some lower scratches. Still traded it a year later for quite decent money again my next bike. My bike messed up his paintwork on the lower part of his door but nothing worse.

Keis heated vest and glove liners have changed my life. CHANGED MY LIFE!

Since I got the glove liners whenever I hear people bang on about how well their heated grips work I immediately write them off as narrow minded fools.

http://www.keisapparel.co.uk/product-category/moto...

Thursdays highlight for me was educating a Mondeo driver with a size 10 boot to his/her passenger door as he/she cut into my lane, almost knocking me off on the very congested Vauxhall one way system. National Grid have two lanes of Vauxhall bridge road closed which is wreaking havoc on traffic flow and frustrating the cagers.

I'm always surprised how easily car doors/wings yield.

Lets just hope if you ever make a mistake, Mr Perfect, that criminal damage to your pride and joy isn't the result. The fact you're boasting about your dhead over reaction is not surprising, its the new "selfish" mantra of the roads today, but perhaps if you'd looked futher, anticipated better and been less wrapped in your warm handed greatness, then you might have noticed their move earlier and avoided the "need" for your disgusting criminal action.

I have just bought the glove liners but can't find gloves to fit over the top, if I buy the gloves big enough to cope with the extra bulk the fingers are way too long. Also, the extra layer just ruins any feel for the controls.

I want a pair of heated gloves for next winter but I don't see the point in the heated liners, gloves to fit them need to be a size larger than normal so I'd have to buy the liners plus another pair of gloves, may as well just get the full heated gloves.

I'll probably go for the gerbing x12's, they have a nice long cuff too.

Were you there? If not wind your neck in.

There have been many, many situations that I have witnessed or been involved in where a 'criminal action', even ABH or stronger would have been more than warranted.

Some drivers really need to wake up and appreciate that not thinking outside of their little fking box can have ramifications that go way beyond a bit of damage to the piece of fking tin that they're sitting in.

Hoying it down this evening. FYI I'm on a t-max. So I get quite a lot of real wheel 'action' blah every time it rains as I generally accelerate as fast as poss out of corners etc and it tends to spin up. Might be the tyres, I have some Michelin PS4 ready to go on at half term.

Anyway, had to break harder than normal approaching a roundabout as a bit of a dawdler was coming round; as he passed I give the beans cool and promptly had a massive tank-slapper as the torque-wave kicks in smokin Rear comes round to the right, I let off the power, it swings to the left, grips, & again harshly to the right, then straightens up. I manage to stay on and accelerate off as if I meant it. st me right up.

Rather than accept I'm not Rossi, I have to point out that I've noticed on the big scoot there's a bit of a delay when it starts to spin. It's like it has momentum built up in the wheel so once it starts there's not an instant response to the throttle action - I assume it's cos of the variators / auto mechanicals of a scooter gearbox. It also has momentum left to right as it's a bit of a heavy beast at times.

Anyway I live to fight another day!

I'm more wary riding my 125 scooter in the damp/wet than ZX6R. st narrow tyres/less throttle and clutch control + tendency to just wind it open (yes, asking for trouble!) had me nearly off once.
