Go on then, going to be any good? Is it a pretence too far?
It will be annoying but I have to watch it. I like seeing the contestants slowly starve, and wonder if I could manage it myslelf. (Just tucking in to a chicken kiev here...)
Think it's different this year, the girls and boys are on the same island at the same time. I think they eventually join up, which means it will turn into a c4 shagfest on a beach, which is a shame because the first 2 series were watchable. It will be annoying but I have to watch it. So the water takes eggy and salty, let's drink it!
At what point does someone step in and say "Er, don't do that"?
I am vomiting uncontrollably! Everyone else is too....but the answer is to just chill out in the shade and drink more.At what point does someone step in and say "Er, don't do that"?
They say that swearing is a sign of the uneducated....and I think this somewhat goes to prove this lol

Some of the stupidity is amazing - they couldn't look at the beach and see it was tidal. I suppose if you've never seen a beach, you wouldn't be able to tell.
Er...it isn't hard, oh look all of the drift wood is at the inner edge of the beach. But lets build a camp anyway!Day 1:
Send someone out to collect trash (bottles etc) to store water in - when it rains, use a canopy to collect the water.
Send out a couple of people to try and find fresh water.
Have someone make a fire.
Everyone else - kill anything than moves (for food) and collect fire wood.
How hard can it be?

I'm quite interested in this. After all it was the Doctor in their group who determined it was ok to drink. So how is she supposed to determine that it was/was not ok to drink ?At what point does someone step in and say "Er, don't do that"?

"Have someone"? That's the point, the major challenge isn't so much survival, it's organising as a group. They aren't at the stage yet of being able to be that organised. The girls started better because one of them bossed everyone else into it. That won't work for long though.Send someone out to collect trash (bottles etc) to store water in - when it rains, use a canopy to collect the water.

And the answer to your question is clear: hard.

I just don't agree with you. As has proved on the previous series there is a bit of dead wood but the rest are perfectly normal, capable and in some cases, quite remarkable people. I've really enjoyed previous series precisely because of (bar some convenient editing) the lack of conceit compared to other reality programmes.
It's not easy to organise as a group of disparate people who don't know each other well at all.
