Yeah i believe the bike is based in yorkshire. Thanks for the info. I will look at the tyres and the rear indicators. I tjink the same dealer is also advertising the special edition nero carbon bikes, but iv always loved the blue and silver of the racing colours. Its a shame mondial went bust. They are lovely bikes!

Thanks, yes, the F4's are an R312 from 2008 only registered in 2010, an RR312 from 2009 still unregistered, an RSV Factory from 2004 only registered December 2008, and an RSVR Colin Edwards Replica from 2003 only registered in 2012. The Repsol was RR7 registered in 2009, and alas now sold to a lucky U.K. owner, and now the space is occupied by a Moto Guzzi Stelvio from 2011, just registered.
Then the Mondial of course, from 2003. It is not one of the mystery bikes which suddenly started appearing in the U.K. over the last four years with some different parts used to finish, athough they're cheaper so can't blame anyone for buying one of those. This is an original early bike (with the invoice) and takes some getting used to haha. It wasn't registered until 2010.
I suppose I should move the things off the shelves above it and the RR312, and the heavy door balancing against a filing cabinet ha.
Got a couple of nosey questions, feel free to ignore though...Then the Mondial of course, from 2003. How do you end up with so many unregistered bikes / bikes registered so late? Are they bikes you got a great deal on, or bikes you hope to turn into a good investment? Do you get out on them much?
Ah, ok, may be mixed up somewhere, Craigs Honda has the used bike, which has the wrong indicators, and actually the bar ends too, I can't make out if the right footpeg is damaged too, which would explain why the bar ends have been changed maybe, and indicators, if it's been down.
The place selling the new bikes, including the black so called final edition, is not selling the same bike exactly, as his are the bikes assembled from parts left over following the sale of Mondial which I referred to initially. Mondial Moto Spa was the original company that designed and homologated the Piega under Roberto Ziletti, and when the spares were sold off Piega's were assembled using those parts under a new and completely unrelated company called Gruppo Mondial S.R.L. so it is written now. There are significant news releases on the web going back over 15 years, and worth your own research if intending to buy the right machine at the price you mentioned. Most classic or special bikes need to be perceived 'correct' to retain value, so provenance is essential.
There was an original version of the black bike too, which had the option of a carbon tank, but it wasn't a final edition, these are just created by the second company I suspect as they ran out of more parts.
If it is in fact the advertised new bike you're looking at, take a look at the front fender, and number plate hanger, rear light and indicators, all these are non original parts as they ran out so used other fabricated items. The running gear is all Honda, but Mondial originally reworked some aspects so you will not be able to see what else under the skin is not of Mondial Spa creation unfortunately.
Be careful what you spend your life savings on, salesmen can be very convincing, so your own research will assure you of facts.
Sorry to detract from the original thread ......... I wish I had some of the garage examples listed, more toy room :-)
