It's not infantile crap though, is it? It's a reason. A reason given when asked, and you posted your comment way before he opened his mouth. I'm no fan of Lorenzo - far from it, in fact - but what you're doing is looking suspiciously like reflective hero syndrome. Your first response wasn't lauding Rossi, it was mocking Lorenzo. It's the mark of a tool.

Purely FYI.
And you're so anti Rossi its embarrassing ya big mummy's boy.

There were other riders complaining about the tyre spinning while upright !
The stiffer construction may be a problem for quite a few, if not all.
Time to change the bikes to suit the tyres again !

So Lorenzo just said he was riding at 80% throttle to stop it spinning up in a straight line. Then how in the blue hell did he finish 2nd doing that???

Rossi's advantage lap by lap didn't tend to be that big, but it was very consistent and as such gradually built up the gap. There's obviously been problems and the tyres clearly aren't perfect but they're all using them.. Marquez handled the interviews in the correct manner.

I had big problems with the rear tyre, I didn‘t have any feeling and couldn‘t stop under braking
Strangely toe rider above didn't get slated on this thread for his comments about his rear tyre not being any good.

Wonder who said it scratchchin

Note they covered rossi's rear tyre staight away unlike lorenzo's.

Still this year isn't going to be about wins it's who's going to score points at all the races not win it or bin it.

Wtf happened to redding today?
Like every other MotoGP championship then.

when was the last time Rossi won a flag to flag? Maybe the early years at Yamaha?

I'll admit it was a boring race, but I was still pleased with the result. Haven't watched the post race interviews yet, but having read the comments on here I might have to.

Also they covered Lorenzo's tyres as soon as he came in. No idea what they did with Rossi rear tyre.

Why does MM have to ride round the slow down lap with a flag like he won the bloody race. This irritates me a bit.

He stopped to acknowledge his fans at the Marquez stand, and one of them handed him a flag, no different to zarco getting french flag post moto2, and he wasnt even on podium.

Michelin have asked that ALL rear tyres be covered up in parc ferme, partly to keep prying eyes away but also to keep as much heat in the carcass before the tyre techs can get to it to take readings etc.

If anyone is in any doubt as to the validity of Lorenzo's tyre issues, read David Emmett's fantastic article over on Motomatters, really insightful, unbiased reporting, seems Crutchlow, Pedrosa, Vinales, Aleix, Iannone, Marquez and others all had the same issue. Pedrosa, the lightest rider on the grid, had to switch the bike to a wet map to stop it spinning up!

Lorenzo.. what a wker...
He's not even opened his mouth yet but the shrugging of shoulders etc, I guess it was the bikes fault then... rolleyes
There you go.

Tyre was st, couldn't use full throttle, could of won easily, pace was slow...

Except he didn't.... did he.

tt.
lol, well at least he didn't didn't slide into deep psychosis and start accusing other riders of collusion in a bid to deprive him of points because that would be a really, terrifyingly insane thing to do, which would probably lead to him throwing away a championship.

If you're going to stick your flag in the Rossi camp, it's probably best not to accuse other riders of being sulky children.

Not particularly exciting but it is what it is, same with Moto 2 but a great outcome nonetheless.

If you wanted excitement you should've watched Moto 3. It always surprises me how these threads are totally dead until the big boys come on.

Yeah, dignity in defeat. Actually, criticising the tyres is better than, say...

"I think his target was not just to win the race, but also help Lorenzo to go far and try to take more points on me. So I think from Phillip Island it is very clear that Jorge have a new supporter that is Marc."
Yep that was embarrassing. Scary times when Marc is the sensible one...

That's because we are watching the Moto3 and Moto2 races and don't have the luxury of boredom to allow us time to post. smile

The thing is, I don't expect Lorenzo to be taking this in good grace.

He's a World Champion, who rightly believes (otherwise he has no place at the top) that he is the best. Just like Marquez and Rossi do.

Rossi (with the advantage of age) can now hide the fact that he feels the same way a bit better, but he is the same. Just look at his mind games with Marquez & Lorenzo last year.

I am a Rossi fan, but I've come around to Lorenzo and the others in the past years. They work damn hard, are just as fast (if not faster) and give it their all. Just because they don't have the same magic charm, they're supposed to be aholes. What nonsense.

Except every time I start to like Lorenzo he goes and behaves like a fking tt again. I don't mind Marquez but Lorenzo does seem to be an arse.

Rossi managed his set up best yesterday. End of. There was no need for the other comments.

More fuel to the fire here...

i have it on VERY good authority JL is a complete weapons grde bell end in real life.
A guy I know works for Alpinestars and deals with the MotoGP guys leathers.
his comments, and I do paraphase here...

Dani Pedrosa... One of the nicest gus you could meet. Polite, helpful and charming.
Marc Marquez.... Was an absolute blast, really fun outgoing guy but become a bit more reserved and introverted since the "incident"
Jorge Lorenzo. Cock. utter Bell. Always blaming anything and everything. grumpy sour puss of the 1st order.
Casey Stoner.. Nice guy. introverted and quiet. But really nice one on one

so there we have it. JL is a cock. My mate at A* says so and you can't beat that..... It's science
