It seemed a good idea at the time! So gents/ladies tomorrow we set off for one of our trips away, Yorkshire up into the Scottish Highlands. Day one Loch fyne, then three days hooning further up north.

Looking at weather report to see if we may get away with a little fine weather just to hear them say coldest weather at this time of year for 30 years.

If you see four blocks of ice pass you, give us a little wave.

I would check your route through Yorkshire as the Tour de Yorkshire is on this weekend.

Thanks for that. It actually nearly passes my front door but it is A1 out of Gods Own and up to A68, so no drama.

Haha, I'll be up there too. Currently defrosting in Glasgow but heading north tomorrow.

I hope the weather is not too bad and that you all have a great trip. The roads in Scotland can be superb.

I really feel for you guys - it is utterly ridiculous to be confronted with fields and roads of snow on the cusp of May, the little channels of built up snow in the centre of each lane between the wheel tracks on the motorway actually gave me a little shimmy on changing lanes now and then early this morning in North Lancashire in the car.
Be careful boys - it really isn't biking weather out there - I was hoping for a few good lengthy runs and meets with a few good lads this weekend, but I think being holed up in a nice warm real fired /home cooked food pub is the order of the day - hope you do similarly -Bonny Voyage ! thumbup

if you have it put the heated gear back on because its bloody freezing up here -

snow in the peak district has closed the snake pass, so i imagine its worse further north and higher up

 wasn't too bad today. Couple of short hail showers but a nice ride.
