Supposed to be going to watch BSB, but will depend on the weather. Likewise supposed to go with a mate while they go on a test ride, but that won't happen either if it's raining/snowing.

Will definitely be planning my Mugello trip. Maps ahoy!

No it's not... 32 degrees here today, crystal blue skies and lovely.
I shall be rebuilding the trials bike and carrying on with the RS250 fettle/never ending project.
It's about 32 degrees here as well only it's on the Fahrenheit scale smile

If it's any consolation I'm nearly 3years and 14,000 miles into my multi ownership and although I'm on first names terms with the guys in the warranty repair department it's always got me home. But saying that I still wouldn't venture out with full European recovery wink

BOT - If it's dry I'm going to venture out on Monday. My plan is to head down to Hastings and tread the boards on the newly opened pier.
Good luck finding a parking spot, there may be a few (thousand) other bikers there, doing the may day run. The A21 down to Hastings will be wall to wall bikes.

It all depends on the weather. I want to go to Oulton at least once this weekend and need to service the bike.

Completely forgot about the May Day run. I think I'll mow the lawn instead

Unexpected sunshine here this morning, so I think I'll take a bike out for an hour or so. Supposed to rain this afternoon so I think I'll sit in the garage and give them both a clean, adjust chains etc.

Got a kind of one day music festival tomorrow, meeting my mates at my local at 11am then the actual event finishes at 2am so that will have written the rest of the weekend off for me, especially bike wise.

That's just to make you feel more like home all though I bet even when it is raining it will be warmer.

Picked up the Varadero after having a new shock and fork springs fitted, then promptly dropped it turning it in the car park - bast*ard!!

It's bloody heavy! Think I'll have to get some crash bars.

Sat from 7.30am yesterday morning until 12pm looking at the glorious weather outside before deciding to take the new bike out, the roads were covered in salt but were dry, I got 8 miles and it decided to start pissing down, I was only a mile or so from a mates house so dodged there and waited until it dried up. (45 minutes)

Decided to just go back home as there were still damp patches on the road and it was now bloody cold too, less than half a mile from leaving Pauls house (Paul25 off here) I exited a roundabout behind a new ish Red sporty Golf thingy which decided to slow down a bit then go for it so it was game on, or so I thought.

He went steaming up a left hander that leads onto a deserted bit of duel carriageway for 4 miles or so.. The engine temperature on my bike was still cold, the tyres were stone cold and I'm still a bit nervous with it being new and only having 200 miles on it...

...Anyway, by the time I got up the slip road he was gone, I could barley see him, I was only taking it up to 8k revs but was still not making a dent into him, caught him up by the time we were on the brakes but he left me for dead going around a big roundabout onto another 3 miles of duel carriageway.

I was going to carry on home with my tail between my legs and forget about it but as I was going around the roundabout with my bike slewing, juddering and doing all sorts of weird things I though fk this..

He was nearly out of sight again so it was full beans through the gears (rev counter goes red) then was on him, tyres had a bit of heat in them now so I didn't get dropped off going right then hard left this time, once behind him it was just short shifting to keep behind him.

We stopped and he says "thought it was you" and then says this is fast for a car eh, fkn right I said.

I couldn't really tell who it was because my eyes were still streaming with the cold but he said he'd got rid of his sports bikes and got a BMW GS now. it was a good laugh and he was a damn good safe driver, hope I bump into him again when its had it first service and the roads are not white with salt.

As we said our goodbyes a couple of hailstones fell, by the time I was moving the road had turned white and I had to stop I was that frightened (turning into a right old fkin puff I am)

Set off once it stopped but the roads were now piss wet and covered in salt so by the time I got to Ian Bells my new bike looked like a 5 year old commuter slag.

Wish it would warm up, its like mid February here.

Cool starry bra.
