I have a k6 750 and a k8 1000. The 750 is a great bike but compared to the 1000 it feels down on torque (even tho mine is -1 +2 gearing).you have to work it harder but that in itself is rewarding and it sounds great up in the Rev range. The 1000 just feels bonkers in comparison and always puts a smile on my face. the power is immense. personally if I had to choose I'd go with the 1000.
Same gearing as my 750. Id prefer a 1000 on most occasions. 750 is sweet and definitely quicker than a 600 but its the torque I miss

OP...could be the answer to your dreams.

I dont think the motors have changed much between 2012 and now either.

I'm there Sunday at Loomies, testing out the Naked 1000 with the K5 engine (will ride my K5 down) and a Busa as I've just wondered what they're like.

After reading all the jive about how the 750 is the conniseur choice, I test rode both back to back, the 1k was the clear winner

I am 100kg 6'7" and that may have played a part, but for me, there was no contest, get the thou, however, as always, try them yourself, don't just listen to fhankers on the internet

750. I think it's better looking.

With Suzuki's crazy finance deal that's just got announced, have you looked at having a new 'un on 0% for 4 years?

I was putting serious thought into a black 750.
What do you mean by the "750" looks better? The 750 and the 1000 have always been the same style and same kit. The 750 is just a more track focused bike, while the 1000 is focused more on speed, power, efficiency, and road manageable to the best.

Not stupid nor childish. It's been a long time thing. Everybody who rides under a 1000 is told they are gay so he's got a point.

What kind of bike do you have, it doesn't say in your profile.

Me thinks he's just come from a 600 or 750 to a 1000 and googled are 1000cc's more wicked than 600's or 750's.

I'd agree with that, we all know that riders of 1000cc bikes buy them to compensate for their lack of ability so they can make it up on the straights;)

I am gay and I'd have the 1000.

I don't know what we do now.

Why would you choose a bike with less power?

Once you've enjoyed the powa of a litre it's hard to go back. I've got a Z1000 and a 600R and the 600 feels very underpowered now.
