Not sure who of you were at Oultan park yesterday but while the race was entertaining (I am not a huge follower of BSB but like motorsport an the inclusiveness at bike events), the site is well not what I expected (I am a southerner). No ATM on site no WIFI and wait no electricity WTF.

So assuming like at Silverstone I could get cash from the ATM, pay for things using a card and pick up wifi or at least 3G....nope not a saussage. So all day no food or drink in the pouring rain...

Still had a good day enjoyed the racing and will go again...with cash an my own food

The rural aspect of the site (..and thus remote from phone signal) is part of the reason to enjoy it. I am pretty sure they do wifi http://news.motorsportvision.co.uk/9034.aspx

The restaurant doesn't take cards?
Because of the power cut affecting not just Oultan Park the card system was not working nor was the WIFI. End of day I was a bit hungry an in need of a drink end of the day but hey ho I still liked it.

I went to the F1 last year at silverstone and yes its a bigger circuite with more ammintes but F1 is very much elitist bike events you get a good look round can talk to people its just more friendly I guess. An yeah had I have put more thought into it I might have taken some cash etc an some drinks with me but it did not ruin the day and as I have a home not far from their (though I live in London) I will go again

You'll know next time. Seems daft that you didn't take cash but then I'm used to rustic motorsport venues and Scottish football. Your lucky to get bog roll.

I'm guessing you've never been to cadwell, you'll be lucky to see anything newer than a horse and cart there and the only currency the use is potatoes
