Lotus are not on the cards as I would have trouble fitting in one, boxsters and 370z nice cars but not sure I could stomach the depreciation?

If you want no depreciation, how about an NSX Targa: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/h...

Hmm, just noticed that one has been written off in the past.

Stretch the budget a bit and buy an Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster.

No to Mustang, TVR and XKR although I might be tempted to stretch to an F-Type smile

I sold mine 2 months ago for £33k privately
2008 Roadster in Tungsten Silver, manual gearbox , 68k miles with full service history which I owned for 4 years.

Sold purely as I needed an auto gearbox for the time being due to 2 shoulder operations in the last 9 months.

Was very close to just putting it away for a year or so until I could go back to a manual as a daily.

Not many better looking convertibles for £35k ( in my opinion )

Why no to those? A little rational might help people guide suggestions.

In fact a little more info would help really. I mean, are you just looking for justification for a Porsche, or are you genuinely interested in other cars.

Frankly there must be a 1000 different cars available that fit the brief of £35k convertible sports car.

The Cheapest F Type will be around 40k at which point you could get a SL63 gen 2 Carrera S & an Aston Vantage

It all depends what you want out of the car.
