Hahahaha.... Which is worse.....
The fans booing Jorge or the lunatics generalizing Rossi fans as the worst type of people.... As bad as each other.
Its all a bit kindergarten innit... I've gone off MM a bit and want to see rossi do well but most of all we was robbed of some racing and that matters more than all this fanboi drivel.

Does anyone know when Yamaha last had an engine failure out of interest, before today?
Other than the 'electrical problems' during practice and testing the last big smokey blow ups I can remember (and I had to check for the year, and older than I thought) was 2010 when Lorenzo had a big fiery blow up at the Sachsenring and Spies had one blow at Indianapolis during the race (only race one I found) in 2012

Interesting, thanks. They'll want to find out the cause pretty soonish I'm sure... It is completely gutting for Vale. Have just grown to not expect any major mechanical issues really, especially from the 3 big teams, then two in one day.

I'm not normally a MM fan, but I thought he was cracking at the end and properly racing with JL
Good to see those two didn't appear on speaking terms in either the finish area of the podium

I've just caught up with the GP racing, I thought all three races were great.

Pity about Rossi but hey ho, Lorenzo and Marquez more than made up for that disappointment.

Ready for the BSC racing now.

Amazing how Lorenzo rocketed out of that last corner.

Shame Rossi wasn't able to battle due to the engine failure.

And between the lines scratchchin

Rossi suffered a similar issue to what Lorenzo suffered with a few hours earlier. A lot of former racers said that Marquez had a compromised line out of the last corner, whereas Lorenzo had the perfect one.

The way this seasons going lorenzo or marquez will have a dnf next race, for whatever reason no rider is running away with the championship.

It tells me that Rossi fans are frustrated that he's not as good as he used to be.

Look, I'm no fan of Rossi. In fact, I can't stand the man. I think he's scheming, manipulative and prone to throwing supernova style tantrums all under shield of an obsessed fanbase BUT he knows how to ride a bike and no rider deserves to exit a race like that. Celebrating any rider's premature exit, whether it's because of mechanical issues or because they dropped it, highlights an ugliness which just isn't necessary.

It's totally possible to root for your rider of choice without wishing ill on all the others. So do that.

Well said. I appreciate all of them despite not liking a few of the personalities. I would never wish harm or foul to any of them, and although I cheer for a select few, I still applaud the others who can beat them.

I geniuenly thought Rossi had the pace to win yesterday, and it would have been a fairytale at Mugello. As it was, the last lap battle was probably more exciting than Rossi getting to the front and running away.

I'm sure they know much better than I, but it looked like Marc got out of the last bend pretty well. The only thing that I thought might have tripped him up was that he held quite a tight line / early apex (defensive) where Jorge allowed the bike to run wider initially, maybe squared the corner off a little to get on WOT earlier? Fabulous bit of riding whichever way you look at it.

I really expected Marc to role the throttle off at full lean to try and mess Jorge's exit up, but I think he thought he was far enough ahead that he didn't need to.

Just caught up with the weekends racing, ( without hearing the result beforehand smile ).

What a venue , that place has it all , utterly stunning.

All three classes providing exciting unpredictable racing . From Moto3 with Fabio G who hasn't even scored a single point so far , going from way back on the grid to 2nd, Wow !

Massive cock up in Moto2 during the not so quick restart...plenty of arses getting kicked and rightly so . Well done to Sam for staying upbeat and bagging a hard fought podium.

MotoGP . Excellent start from Jorge ...Keep practising Vale wink,
. Really close racing , with tenacious rides from all. Edge of the seat stuff , right down to the line . Not sure what happened to Scotty ? Well done Bradders , finaly making an appearance in the new parc ferme clap

I didn't have a bucket list , but I might just consider starting one , with the Italian MotoGP being Number 1 smile

Rossi has identified his starting a race as a weak point, so he did 8 practice starts on Saturday.
Smart move.
In the race Lorenzo had one of the best starts I've ever seen.
Rossi's engine blow up has deprived us all of, potentially, a classic race.

I wonder what his strategy was going to be. Prior to the blow up he lined JL up a few times and then seemed happy to sit on his tail. Let JL do all the work and pounce on the last lap?

A cracking last lap all the same, up to that point there was only really Iannone offering something to watch

Lorenzo had a stupendous start, 5th to 1st is bloody impressive. But he didn't seem to have the pace to break away. His braking into T1 was peerless, Rossi was looking every which way to get around. JL seemed to be able to make the bike very wide when it mattered.
Be interesting to see what happens in the garage though. 2 engine failures the same weekend says they might be running the engines to the limit and beyond.
Marquez was on fire, the Honda looked totally out of shape yet he bullied it around, great riding.
As for the last lap, JL finally showed he actually has some cahunas to go elbow to elbow rather than just being a pace setter. Quality stuff.

Moto 3.. Brad again. What can you say?? Class of the field. Hopefully we're lookingat the next Moto3 World Champion. And a properly nice lad. I was at the track Sunday and the place erupted when he won. Epic afternoon.....
