Been listening to the coverage of first session tonight. Sounds like a great night of practice.

I wasn't going to go this year but went to Donington for superbikes and kept hearing people in paddock and on tannoy talking about IOM so got a ferry booked this morning, going Wednesday night back home Sunday night. Thought I could miss a year out but seems like I can't!!!

Have great time all.

We are having a blast, such a great time. Been on the railway up the mountain yesterday, then back to paddock for first practice. Got in the paddock and into the team running the Suter and took loads of pics. It's beautiful that's for sure.

Then managed to borrow a bike from a dealer today to do a couple of laps with my daughter on the back, her first time on the road as a pillion. We had a great time, a Suzuki V Strom and went pretty well too up ovee the mountain. First lap we stopped at Kirk Michael and Creg for drinks and snacks, but second lap, we did on one go and got a bit of a lick on here and there. My daughter, who's 8, just loved it! We took the demo bike back to the dealer and she did not want to get off it!!

Fab place, Fab atmosphere, fab weather fab trip so far. What a place this is. If you have never been, seriously, you need to come, at least once.

Steam train to Port Erin tomorrow, then back up to the bungalow (I think) to watch evening practice to see and listen to the old boys on the Suter and RCV!!

My tips for what they are worth. Hutchy, Dunlop and Peter Hickman.

Don't forget if you can't make the TT there's always the Ulster GP Skerries etc where you can watch some real road racing.

I see people heading over with only their leathers and a carrier bag strapped to the rear cowl... I do things a little differently:

I like your style but I prefer less power and more luggage.

Never been but always look forward to it hugely, this year is no exception :-) Hopefully I'll be able to actually get over there in the next couple of years..

Enjoy yourselves those that are going/already there, lets see what happens with the lap record this year :-)

For me I'm expecting Hutchy to clear up again, I don't think Michael Dunlop is quite there and Hickman, whilst going well in BSB needs another year at the TT before he'll challenge for wins imo. As for McGuiness and Anstey, you can never write them off on the right day..

Brucey seems to be going well on the RCV, 128.5mph lap today and had backed off in the last sector, I just hope he races it as he has been given the option to choose that or the blade.

Lougher doesn't seem to be doing much on the Suter MMX yet, very early days but thought we would see him into the 120s after a few laps, maybe it's having some teething problems..

Seems like Hutchy is the man to beat so far.

Ooooh lordy, Bruce's GP bike sounds mega! First proper run and sticks in a 127 then a 128 tonight, great going. Did anyone see the prog on ITV4 about Hutchy? Churchill once said "if you're going through hell then keep going" and by Christ he has and banging in a 130 lap already is no mean feat.

Meant to post this earlier, spotted this last Friday at St. Ninians:

Heading to Ramsey to watch the practice tomorrow (Weds) eve, must remember the midge spray..

It could potentially be a bit of a Dunlop-fest, but after what I watched yesterday I really hope Hutchy gets at least one win!

What he went through is really sobering - so dedicated! Top bloke! thumbup

Also a fan of McPint - great guy!

Will be watching the ITV4 coverage every day - if Michael Dunlop, Ian Hutchinson and John McGuiness win at least one race each that will be great! But if Bruce Anstey or Connor Cummins gets a result that would be great as well! Just a shame Guy Martin won't be there, but the other stuff he is doing is excellent so it's just the price we have to pay!
