Ah, I remember you... the guy that has so much spare time he can proof read my every word, individually quote each sentence and trawl through his collection of memes to find a 'relevant' one.
Do you get a notification when I post or are you just far too active on here?
Don't give me that rubbish about him losing confidence at Assen. What about Rossi's huge crash at Mugello in 2010, does he ride slower there now? No, he stuck it on pole. Lorenzo is crap in the wet and you know it, saying he's crap when conditions aren't 100% is taking it a bit too far, but he certainly isn't fast.
I think he's very fast, just not compared to the rest of the field. He's certainly a shedload faster than me. Do you get a notification when I post or are you just far too active on here?

No, the one with the most points should (and did) win !
Even if those points are gained in an underhand way...Mr2Mike said:
BTW why did you post that silly irony meme? There was no irony in that post at all, just some very succinct observations.
A. to highlight the irony.B. wrong.

The reigning world champion isn't fast ?Cant quite get my head around what happened to those Hondas between the races.
Yes, they were getting into the groove a bit at end of first half, but had struggled with Ducati pace from the off in the first half, then second half and the Ducs are nowhere, (relatively speaking) and the Hondas seem to be on fire.
Odd.

They used the softer rear, rather than the hard one for a start. The conditions were wet and drying, rather than a torrential downpour too. Gripping race from Assen. Sorry 3 gripping races from Assen.
You've got to love the brave fighting spirits of the underdogs, demonstrating the level of talent in all classes .
Mr. VdS getting his just rewards at his home GP. I bet that was one hell of a party on Sunday night

No hate at all. Tibia possible to question something without having an extreme emotional aspect to it.
Yes it is possible to avoid the emotional responses. But you didn't question something, it was an accusation. It would be like me 'just checking' (which I think was the phrase you used) if you were a dick head - I couldn't really say that without inferring it.... And for clarity, it's just an example and I am not asking, checking or stating that you are a dick head.
And it's a common message from you that no Rossi fan can be balanced, I think the responses become emotional because of the compounding effect of the constant inference. Your suggestion to me was that I was blaming the method of restart on Rossi's demise - in fact I know that the conditions and changes between R1 and R2 presented Rossi with a major opportunity which he messed up on.... So no bias, jaundice view here.
On the discussion above about the relative merits of the riders. Yes Jorge often struggles when conditions are poor, but he's also often in a league of his own when he has everything set right. All the guys at the front of this field are brilliant in their way.

Great racing in all three classes! Pleased for Nakagami, Miller and Redding, gutted for Hernandez, I'm a big fan of Yonny and would love to see him on a factory bike as genuinely believe he has the talent, just such a shame that he seems to either fail or have bad luck whenever he's in a position to really make an impression, and as the seasons go by I think he's simply going to run out of time, in fact theres no guarantee he'll even have a ride next season at this rate, a win at the weekend would have no doubt changed that!
BSB was also good racing from an almost as wet Knockhill!

Its a little harsh isn't it. There are a lot of talented riders (Yonny is certainly one) but you have to really get the stars to align in order to become a real success. I guess its the same in any motorsport, you have to have the talent and the commitment, you need to get on the radar of and win the backing of one of a very small number of influential people who dictate what rider / driver ends up where, attract the media and sponsors.... Its endless and the window to open this all up must slam shut in your early 20s. There must be a fair few who could win the championship if everything was perfect, but we can't underestimate the efforts that go in to make everything perfect (Marc, Jorge and Rossi stand out in the current field)Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
