Whats the MX5 of the bike world?

I love my MX5... when ever there is a "what car" thread in General Gassing the answer always seems to be buy an MX5.

is there an equivalent in the bike world?

I don’t think there is and MX5 of the bike world! There are many good bikes that are fun and do most things well. The comparatively cheap cost of bikes also means that having multiple bikes, each more specifically focused on one element of biking, is a realistic option for many people.

Gotta be an SV650, MT07 or similar id have thought. Relatively good handling, moderate performance and a good laugh but still being cheap

yeah a completely dull looking, meh to drive commuter bike is the equivalent to a best seller in its class, sporty and known for the best handling characteristics you could have in a car.

A cbr requires a bit of work to go quick. A street handles comically easily. It's an Mx5

A cbr 600 is a hot hatch.
