We have found them quite reliable. Have you got in touch with customer services via email/web chat? They'll add a month or two extension to your prime account and chase it up.

Same here, I use them all the time and they're great.

Amazon logistics do seem to consist of man in a car type of delivery service so I guess it all depends on how good the one in your area is. Mine are all Eastern Europeans and seem to do a decent job. If i'm not in they make a good effort to leave with immediate neighbours or deliver the next day.

So they can deliver more stuff to someone completely different! Sounds like an excellent plan.

I had this problem, partly because im in a new build which is miles from the postcode in a satnav.

Ive since started using an amazon locker ,and been delivered perfect every time.

I clicked on what I thought was a 'No I don't want to try Amazon Prime' button which turned out to be 'sign me up for a trial' so I gave it a go. First order was Amazon Logistics delivery, plenty of updates about the next day delivery and it didn't turn up. I waited in until I went to bed at 11am with a message still saying 'Your parcel will be delivered today'.

Next morning Amazon's site said there had been a delay with the delivery partner and it would be delivered that day. Helpful! So I emailed the help services who were singularly unhelpful but when they stopped sending template emails, at least silently cancelled the free trial I didn't want in the first place. I specifically asked them not to keep serving up splash screens prompting me to sign up; they didn't reply to that and, sure enough they started again. This week I let rip again and they finally seem to have turned them off for me.

Anyway, my experience of Prime has been a 100% failure rate (on the one delivery) yet free delivery usually arrives next day. The thing is, you pay for the service and if it doesn't do the job, they extend your sub by a month. That's not an adequate solution if you need your items next day and pay for the privilege. It's also very annoying that they blame the courier when the courier is them. I guess I shouldn't moan; Prime subs probably contribute to my free delivery.

It might be a good idea to separate TV from delivery though. I'd not subscribe to Prime now on principle because of my experience with the delivery but I might have been persuaded by The Grand Tour.

I use them very often. I don't subscribe to 'Prime' though. I always book the cheapest postage and 9 times out of 10 the parcel arrives next day!

I live at an address which they used to struggle to find.
On the edit your address page I added a couple of simple instructions

Mr bingybongy
96b Main St (down alley by post box)
Anytown (Green gate)
Postcode

Well you get the idea.
All parcels since have arrived with no problem.

I think Prime is brilliant! Use it all the time. Case in point last week; Saturday afternoon I cleverly cut through the cable on my Bose headphones while gardening. Ordered online and had a new one the next morning. Which I promptly cut through as well.

Ordered some Bluetooth headphones there and then. They arrived Monday morning.

Only ever had 2 problems out of probably 100+ items.
Funny enough both were high value items. An ipad and a laptop.
Both were signed for with a simple scribble.

Amazon replaced both items, eventually.

Never not delivered. Always on time. 5x a week. Now buy anything I can, usually cheapest, from Amazon.

It's so good, we now get cross, as per today, if it's not here before 10.

We also have a funny hard to find address. First couple of times, called to get directions. Now always fine.

2 different Eastern European guys and a Sikh chap. If I'm in I offer them a coffee to take away and the the 2 EE chaps are very grateful and we chat for a minute while the machine does its bit. If I'm not in, parcels always left where I ask.

Couldn't be happier with AP.

Looking forward to within in food delivery which they believe is coming soon.

Never had a problem either with prime. I bought some business card laminating pouches for £3.50 and it was delivered next day by DPD. Surely it costs them more than that to send it! Don't they use Royal Fail anymore?

I'd say it wan't a good as it used to be. I first signed up about 6 years ago because I was ordering a tv and stand and free next day delivery saved me a fortune, paid for the first year anyway. I then let it lapse and signed up again more recently as I became a more frequent user of Amazon. I reckon I more than break even and there's an extra source of streamed movies and TV.

The next day part has slipped badly though. Used to be 100% even to Northern Ireland now more like 48 hours which is still ok. Not had any issues finding the right address. DPD seem to be the only ones who've gotten lost.

Never had a problem and my parcels are near enough always left in the bin/log shed/neighbour.

That said, the next day parcels can turn up at anytime. I had one flustered driver deliver a parcel at 9pm.

When Amazon just used to have the 3 main UK sites it was pretty good. Next day was nearly always next day. The one time they slipped up they emailed me an apology and automatically gave me a free months Prime - no action taken by me.

Now with these regional sites and Amazon Logistics it's a bit more hit and miss. I don't have Prime any more, mainly to stop impulse buys - I still a Nikon DSLR and other stuff in boxes from 2 years ago that are unopened! With the 3-4 day supersaver delivery I can still get stuff next day even on a Sunday.

Ordered hundreds of items through Amazon Prime. I think only one parcel so far has been delivered late. I think they gave me a free month extension for that. Great service.

Yep, same here. It's excellent.
