Gatwick hotels with parking
Discussion
Hi,
Due to my E92 being in for warranty repair I have borrowed a car from an in law but I would like to come up the day before we fly and park the car but I do not want to give over the key.
I have insurance on it but do not want to face the music if anything happens by handing over the key.
Any recommendations? Just me and the wife a few beers and some food.

Sofitel is on the airport and about £200 for a night over and parking for a week.
Have a look at http://www.parking4less.com/gatwick-airport/hotels... it clearly shows the deals with parking at the hotel rather than offsite

Just stay at the Hilton. They do parking packages with their rooms. For convenience sake, it's completely fuss free.
Seconded. Do the meet and greet. Drive up hand your keys to the attendant, check-in and get a cold beer from the bar within 2 minutes.
On the way back, call them when you get your bags and your car is waiting in short-stay for you.
Premier Inn at Gatwick North do a 5-8 day park, sleep, fly deal for around £140 (1 night stay).
You don't have to use the valet parking service - you can self park for the same price.

I did not see that the hotel is parking for one night and then it is in the long stay car park for the rest of the time. You don't have to use the valet parking service - you can self park for the same price.

They should have explained before I paid the gits.
But at least I have will have the keys and I am sure I can park in the furthest place possible.

Holiday Inn or Crown Plaza are good, used them for the past 5 years. Don't know any of them that allow you to keep the key. My car has never moved for the 2-3 weeks at a time I leave it there. Going away soon, got 15 nights parking & a room for £130.00 at the Holiday Inn. Airport transfers on the shuttle are a couple of quid each way or about £10 in a taxi which the hotel will organise for you.
There is a place close to Gatwick that is always ridiculously cheap, avoid it like the clap, they let you keep the key but I would be more concerned about my own safety staying overnight than leaving the car there.

surely for £140 plus what you would be paying in fuel from Bristol you could arrange a airport transfer and not have to worry about leaving keys, a car that isnt yours getting damaged etc
The coach is quite expensive nearly the same price and twice the return journey one has either been cancelled or not turned up, it is also an early flight so the bus would be 01:30Driving the same day would be roughly a 02:30 start out and if anything closes the MW being there the day before mitigates any issues.
Hire cars would be close again coupled with £200 each way deposits. Although when the bus has not turned up before I have had to do a 1 way hire.
