Nick Grimshaw upturns G-Class in London street at 10mph
Discussion
At 10mph avoiding a cat. Should Mercedes be worried or was Nick off the wagon?

Reckon it must have been way beyond 10 mph to achieve that.
I once had to swerve to avoid a collision in an old Defender (with 50mm suspension lift, soggy shock-absorbers and lacking anti-roll bars) at 30 mph and it didn't fall over (wobbled and bounced around for yards afterwards - it isn't a move I recommend pulling for the fun of it). Despite being tall, a lot of the mass (gearbox, etc.) is still quite low - Merc Wagons are similar in format.
A modern G-Wagon on road tyres with all the road-biased suspension gubbins would need some seriously ham-fisted driving to get it over at urban speeds - assuming it didn't suffer from some kind of mechanical or structural failure on one of the front wheels.
(Judgemental Mode ON) More likely a case of going too fast and expecting a two-tonne 4x4 to change direction like a ballerina. They don't.

It says he was driving at 'moderate' speed - even if he was speeding it's hard to see how he could have done this, unless he hit something? There's no mention of that though - thing is G-Wagen's are pretty stable and carry their (considerable) weight fairly low down.
Not something I would have expected to see.

Yep - that makes sense - his wheel would have climbed up over the wheel of the black SUV and if he had the steering hard over to the left the offside wheel would tuck under and over it would go.Matt UK said:
The thing I find most disturbing is a member of the attending emergency services posting pictures and personal comment, from the scene, on their social media.
Is that acceptable now?
I hope it's not!Is that acceptable now?
To me, that does look like it was a reasonably slow accident, the car looks like it's just fallen over. No other cars look damaged and there doesn't appear to be any scrape marks along the road.
Could his n/s wheel have clipped the golf and just flipped it over though?!

Yes, the road is too narrow for anything really silly and there would be more damage to the parked cars. Not paying attention - probably on Twitter.Bet that slab sided thing made a bit of noise when it fell over!
