'Kinell, I very occasionally ride solo through central London, I wasn't aware of this st going down. Sooner those scrotes hit by an oncoming HGV at speed the better.

As for the "Nearly Bikejacked"sensational headline.....
Seriously??? Get a fking grip. Are these Vloggers so desperate to get attention"???
I would have drawn the exact same conclusion as him. He looked right as much to see if there was another two-up scooter on his right as anything. Wherever I see two kids in st gear on a scooter, my radar is right up and I take extra care. (Cause BMW tourers are sooooo desirable hehe )

I reckon those kids were rumbled. If not for that almost-crime, a different one. They ran a red light when the rozzers came through.

ETA: I see Im a little late to this biggrin

These s are all over my town at the moment, all riding round on Vespas or other big mopeds without numberplates and half the time without helmets. So far the police have done absolutely fk all about it.
Saw an article in the local news saying £72,000 worth of bikes have been stolen in my borough (Hillingdon) recently, they have also blown up a cash machine and have seemingly got away with it all.

Really not looking forward to buying an SM, I know the chavs are going to be all over it if they see me frown

How it should be done, and no guns! Of course, if we did this here, we'd get done for assault.

Properly made me LOL (speaking as a biker!) I hate it when I see people riding like dicks and getting all road ragey.

We could go as far back as Ducati dealership failed robbery 2014

It is in psyche of long abandoned areas of these "incidents" and where them gangs of "inspiring rappers" are roaming streets, growing up in to audacious thieves/robbers..
................................................................................

Back to the RJ incident-

Doesn't the driver looks like he is on "snow"? (behaviour, of "on a mission", clearly "herpied"-damaged nostril )?

I've seen a few gangs on my commute into London. Pillion and no lids.

Hence, following personal experience of bike theft, lead theft.....
You shot one, it wasn't a thru-and-thru and you couldn't get the lead back?
I wish - they'd be welcome to the sufferage of acute lead poisoning.

Roof leading unfortunately.

Thinking about it, I've spotted those two scrotes. They followed me down South Norwood hill a while back.
I pulled in and let them filter past me, I overheard them say what I was on. At the traffic lights they went through a red light sweeping tight around the line of traffic.
I hope they hit a parked skip.

Indeed, scooter used to push nicked vehicle is standard procedure...

(doesn't look like the same scooters-riders-participants as in RJ incident or other in this thread)

London, but didnt say where in London exactly.

Looks like they had just nicked this bike and were making a getaway. I think that the siren you can hear might be the bike alarm? I presume that the moped is stolen as well. This is probably someone's pride and joy :-(
Reporting to the police - although not sure how much good that will do.
...................................................................................
The guy is spot on! almost legend, having a cam, spotting the issue, in editing video, be him pushbiker... didn't stop them...

Half a legend! biggrin

Lucky escape!
We are in "their pissing" territory...
rozzers are useless, skip sounds too kind...

..................................................................................

(unlikely to be your "huntsman"), but in the "cheese slice" area of their activity, perhaps, BikeRambler had a decent go:

If he gets away, why not go after his mate/accomplice with the 2 bicylces, a small amount of medieval 'persuasion' would soon get the other slag's name... scratchchin

Couple of mates have had their phones nicked by people on the back of scooters.

What would the people have done in RJ's vid, stayed next to him and make him pull over and willingly get off his bike?

Tried to lose them (Could well be that they were spooked by the police sirens and jumped the red). They haven't graduated to bike jackings in broad daylight (yet).

Obvious sensationalism is obvious.

Should have RJ been doing 100MPH and getting caught speeding?

Running is not the best option most of the times, as it encourages animals to chase and attack, especially, if they are (possibly) on drugs

Sensationalism- it is not, his actions are applaudable, I personally near envy, as how quick and correct his reactions where in circumstances.

If you read back through the thread you'll see links to videos where bike-jackings in broad daylight on London streets is precisely what they're doing.

Want to see how they actually steal the bikes whilst somebody is riding it? Look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6ctYpBN7Q0
