There was an episode of Grand Designs where a guy mounted a Ducati 916 (I think) on his wall. I'm fairly sure it was the entire bike... Might be worth a Google.

This. Being GD though may have been purpose-built from the start...?

The Harley cafe in Vegas has some impressive internal storage of motorbikes, in the air, rotating round the room

Great idea; seen these a few times and think they look ace.

Wedg1e's idea is probably the one I would opt for; I've done a stty drawing to show a rough concept:

I think that looks terrible, myself. In that room etc, just TOO big on that wall.

The Ducati in the restaurant is probably attached to a steel frame that forms part of the building structure (hopefully they have had an engineer design the bracket and test the loading)/

The Ducati in the house is another matter, hopefully its on a frame built into the wall as I suggested in my original post otherwise I wouldn't be sat on that sofa.I don't think it looks good in this picture, it appears far to big in 1990's house with a DFS sofa and sideboard! Like trying to force man cave style into your mother-in-laws living room!!!

best I can think of is something like this in the wall, supported from the deck then brick and plaster around, with a support hanging off.

I never gave it great thought tbh, I haven't just done that, I have hundreds of supports ive done on memory sticks and I just deleted the stuff that wasn't needed to give a rough idea of what I was talking about it was quicker than drawing it.

I don't think it can be done without spending a fking fortune. But I think that's the cheapest way.

My local chocolatier (ooh, I'm posh...) has a Francis Barnett mounted on the wall of their shop.

I'll try and get a photo of it tomorrow.

Gives me a great excuse to go and sleaze over the beautiful German woman who runs it (unless her dour, ugly, ginger husband is on the counter instead...).

Has anyone done this yet? I’m thinking about something similar in the garage with a KE100…
