A mate of mine is selling his old 1000 Katana as a resto project and I'd forgotten what nice looking bikes they are:

Yum!

Marmite bike - I like the style, as Rosscow already hinted, many don't.

1000 - that's the rarer race size one too.

Loved my 750 (the one with the pop up headlight).

Even sold it for a profit after two years of me ragging it!!

Still love these, mate has one with a 1400 tuned engine with TL1000 front and back end and classic Harris pipe sounds immense.
Had a couple of mates back in the mid 80s who both bought 1000s, had them bored and tuned at TTS ( one was 1170, rode this one, and the other 1260 I think) The 1000s were slide carbs and the 11's CVs.
Whys your mate selling it?

I'm not sure that he's finished the advert yet as I can't see a price but the write up about condition etc is at http://www.katanatom.co.uk/katana/forsale.html

That Yoshi Kat is second only to the AC Sanctuary bikes in getting close to total perfection if you ask me....

It's a motorbike with a mutha-flipping pop-up headlight. Therefore it's awesome.

Does anyone else remember the Bloodrunners cartoons with Jack st? I think that was (very loosely) based on a katana.
