Wow you guys.
And all i said was "what effort", you go on like the guy stopped the bike thieves or somthing.
The above was just an explanation as to the bentley in my profile, nothing more.
To be fair to them, some of your posts on this thread do give the impression that you're a bit of a bell-end.And all i said was "what effort", you go on like the guy stopped the bike thieves or somthing.

(not that I'm one to criticise, I'm an utter pussy and complete tool)
Why on earth would i want to challenge a bunch of c**nts that are brazen enough to steal a bike in broad daylight to a bit of fisticuffs? They are more than likely to pull a knife - and i am afraid i do not have a gun, or any mates.
This is coming from me, who regularly on a Saturday afternoon continuously used to wind up the entire opposing pack so they weren't concentrating on the ball... never been the brightest.. Probably all the punches to the head or fingers to the eyes.
The effort probably comes from OP at least calling the police. Most people in London simply would not bother.

If he's riding it with the panniers attached like that in London I'd say it's no big loss
It would have to be a pretty " Amazing Space" to fit it in , wherever it is....Jest aside - another shocking example of the state of affairs on our doorsteps today.
Filth - scum - vermin, in need of extermination.

George Clarke's no less. Only 4 days old!
Who's George Clarke?Just found this on the met website - video. Daylime in London, scrotes try to jack a bike by force. Not same people as these are all white. All got mobiles stuffed in their helmets to communicate. Don't know why this sort of thing doesn't get any publicity.
Overall there aren't many people that would be this brazen, so what they need is 10 year minimum jail terms to prevent others from taking it up, and to keep the ones that do do it off the streets.

How?
Without removing it?
You want me to tell the world on an open forum how to make bike crime easier? I think not.Without removing it?
I worked in car security in the early 90s when the dog's ballcock immobilier was called the Vecta, it came with an insurance guarantee that if your car got nicked by the scrotes defeating it, they'd buy you a new car.
I had to take one off a clients car when his house was burgled and the spare fob stolen, so I chipped the sealant out of it, got down to the bare circuit board and traced the electrical circuit. Then I worked out how to defeat it.
Turned out the scrotes had beaten me to it and all they did was use a cordless drill to put a hole through the case, which cut the PCB tracks and disabled the immobiliser.
I believe Vecta went bust
Not very comfortable viewing.
I've just replaced my GS with a GSA and park relatively close to Berkeley Sq but fortunately perhaps, I park round the corner (literally) from Savile Row police station, so it should be a little safer.
After taking delivery of the bike at the weekend, I bought a new Abus D lock to put through the rear wheel and an Abus disc lock on the front wheel. While neither will stop the bike being lifted into a getaway van, having two locks must be a bit better than one and should prevent the kind of theft the OP saw.
Thankfully it's garaged overnight otherwise I would have gone cheap and cheerful!

One of my colleagues informed me his CCM 400 was stolen from just behind Baker Street. He had a chain and disk lock and they cut through them both. Police were called but by the time the arrived they were gone.
A friend called me yesterday to tell me someone tried and failed to steal his GSXR750 in Knightsbridge late Sunday night/early hours of Monday morning The bike was covered and also had 3 chains and locks. Whilst they were unsuccessful in stealing it they did cause some damage to the bike.

No pillions so who rides the getaway bike?
They look to be wearing decent gear like regular honest bikers.
There's no audio, we can't hear what's being said.
Attempted theft or just a disagreement?
Although the balaclavas and phones are suspicous I guess..

My scooter was chained to a lamp post, alarmed and under CCTV, 20 yards from where the head office of the South Eastern trains British Transport Police were based (Orpington Station). They cropped the chain with massive croppers then lifted it into a van with fake plates with the alarm going off (hazards were flashing on the CCTV footage) and the secondary D lock still through the front wheel. Begs the question, how the jackers go about this. Maybe they start up some fictitious traffic incident, claiming one of their bikes has been left damaged, hoping the intended victim will abandon their bike to check it out, and hoping they'll leave the key behind.
