I had a great day yesterday and one of the highlights was the new Norton. We also chewed the fat with a lovely bloke on the stand before the penny dropped and we realised it was Stuart Garner‎ smile

went on Tuesday, had finished in a couple of hours

if prices rise next year i won't bother, £19.50 advance plus either £12 or £20 to park, getting to the point of not worth it

take you own food!!
I rec'd a questionnaire from NEC this week, so I told them what I thought of their charging. I'll have to think twice about paying £25+£12 just to get in next year.
Yeah, it's bloody expensive day out
£25 ticket
£12 parking
£30 fuel there and back
£10 Lunch
£77 Total !

I felt it was getting silly last year and think this year was even more so. Didn't pay for parking however. It also seems to take me less and less time to be there each year!

I always feel the meal in the 'spoons or the "cafes" there are a total piss take. This time we headed over to Resort World for lunch which whilst not the last word in fine dining was better than the ste they serve in the main building.

I went on Wednesday - I thought it was great.

Had a go on a Ducati Multistrada on the Experience Adventure course which was free, and fun too.

Plenty of decent bikes to look at, distinct lack of promo girls though....

It sounds like I've saved a fortune. I might try and make that £110 saved in total by giving Excel a miss as well

£19.50 pre order ticket and £10 for the parking.

you can get food before or after as I did or as suggested take your own

6 of us in total so fuel was about £30 between us all.

So not always that expensive.

I've given Excel a miss for the last couple of years - traffic is horrendous, parking is daylight robbery, & the food is simply outrageously expensive total & utter ste. So I saved £50 on a lid.....

Well, I was done within 2 hours, not much grabbed my attention. Good to see the scr950 is coming to us though.

I'll give it a miss next year.

It's only once a year, we went on Wednesday (it was quiet) and really enjoyed it, we'll go again next year.

Went today. It started off quiet then got very busy. First time we have gone on the weekend, noticed there were lots of kids about, no surprise as they weren't at school. Overall seemed better than last year. Don't know why they no longer have promo girls draped over the display bikes like they do on the continent.
Expect we will probably go again next year, might even drag my son along!

Also went today, busy but 3 of us spent just over 6 hours there. Not a bad day to be honest; can see how it'd get expensive though. I took a full Chicken baguette and a 2l of (diluted) Vimto so I was happy tongue out

We went Thursday. Started off really quiet but filled up around 12. First year in 14 years of visiting that i didnt take my licence and there was no one booking at the testing stands. Would have liked a go on the small dirt course on an Adv bike.
The show was quite good, not many bikes that really wet my whistle to be honest. Lots of small off roaders seem to be coming out which is interesting, but maybe its just become a little too predictable.
i pre-booked with the bag included so that was £25, plus the bus at £16, then a breakfast en-route at £6 then some Wetherspoons beer at £4. Took food for journey back but still not that cheap at £50

Just leaving after an hour and a half wait to get loaded up, was certainly busy today, pity the poor sods who now are digging up the BMW off road expierence.
