Hi chaps , I have this set on my car and it now needs a full set of pads and discs. Ouch! Can anyone suggest the best place to buy these ? Do I have to put AP discs on or can I put any others on which maybe cheaper? laugh
Cheers!

If you want to get from the UK then Monkfish or Walkinshaw are best bet. A lot of people buy brakes in from Aus off ebay I think but it obviously takes a while for them to arrive and some people forget to factor in import duties and VAT which does push the price up a bit (tho still cheaper overall).

There have been threads here covering many options. Search function isnt great but it has been well covered.

From bog standard cast Land Rover replacements, to cheaper bolt on discs for the bells, or just replace with AP again.

Thanks for the responses. I have searched but didn't find anything worthwhile. I'll check out the other brakes, I was really wondering if you had to stick with AP brakes again so I suppose that's been answered!

Cheers!

Hi Simon - I replaced my discs with DBAs as well - got them supplied and fitted through MW Performance at Chester - not a million miles away from you.

Better (IMHO) than AP - and a bit cheaper too.

Might be worth contacting Marc and the team - PM me if you'd like some more information (price I paid etc).

Cheers

Ian

This is the disc some said could be used s an almost replacement for the front AP

It's a fraction smaller and thinner....but very cheap and a conventional 1 piece disc.

http://www.bettaparts.co.uk/buyguide/html/bd1470v....

Or Reyland and some other companies seem to get some OEM discs, machine the hat off and drill them to be used with bells.
He lists some in the 362x32mm size as per front AP for a Monaro ( ensure you get correct bolt PCD too )

http://www.reyland.co.uk/discs/

Although must admit, I emailed him on two occasions now about supplying me discs and got no response, so I've just ordered some AP's instead ( non a Monaro fitment )

Cheers Stevieturbo. They seem like a reasonable price. I'm waiting for a price from MW performance for them to supply and fit some replacements so I'll see what they come up with first
Cheers
