Anyone else watching this? I loved daredevil and Jessica Jones but finding this much less engaging from the off. 3 episodes in so far.

Episode 9 already.

Release date was perfect because I've spent all day on the couch recovering from minor surgery.

Good solid 7/10. Not something I'd watch a second time though.

I watched the first 3 episodes last night, loved it!

The cast and soundtrack are fantastic, love the violence too. Im enjoying it more than Daredevil.

Up to episode 5 so far and after a slowish start it's improving all the time.

Loved both seasons of Daredevil and it's not at that level but didn't really take to Jessica Jones, probably because I can't stand watching David Tennant and his constant over-acting.

Got to the end this morning.

Last episode spoiler...
Disappointed with last episode. Why does the bad guy always manage to magically get something that neutralise the super power. Just seems like an easy story line.

I've just finished episode 5. It's very good, mostly because of an excellent cast. But I'm not as gripped as I was by Daredevil or Jessica Jones. I think that's mainly because those other shows were defined by the quality of the main antagonist. There's nothing wrong with his acting, but as a character this guy is not in the same league as Kingpin or Killgrave.

I'm up to E4 after bingeing then all this evening. Very much enjoying, I think he's a much more watchable character than JJ which I didn't really take to.

yesJJ was probably a better series, but i found JJ the character a little difficult to like.

Luke Cage is a decent set up for them to get into the Defenders.

Love the soundtrack on this, but it's very changeable on the filming. Sometimes it looks brilliant and settings are perfect, then next scene it's more than ordinary.

Enough to keep me engaged though, I'm on Ep7. I liked DD and JJ. Cottonmouth is decent as the bad dude but not bad enough, whereas Kingpin and Tennant (can't remember name) were very good.

I power watched it over the weekend and really enjoyed it, Mike Colter is ace and it's good to see him not playing the bad guy.

I've also done 7 episodes in two days. For me Cottonmouth getting out is all a bit easy and the plot has gone a bit slow, but I am enjoying it and as mentioned above the soundtrack is bang on.

Finished last night. 7/10.
Definitely not as good as the first DD series.
But on a par with JJ and DD series 2, i found it more enjoyableeasier than JJ to watch but i didn't like Jessica that much as a character.

Spoiler mentions things in last few episodes.

I think that Cottonmouth and Shades carried genuine intelligence and threat, maybe not as much as Kilgrave and definitely not as much as Fisk but it was there.
Razorback seemed to be a little less fleshed out because of his Luke Cage fixation.
Very happy that Shades is still around with Mariah as their dynamic really interested me in the 2nd half of the season.
Not sure about the Claire/Cage but did like her collecting the "i can teach you kung fu" flyer as she walked off. nerd

Roll on Iron Fist and The Punisher.

I agree that Shades was more interesting than Razerback, who seemed like a standard MCU villain.

Ending the season with our hero going back to prison while Mariah and Shades set about building their empire was an unusual move. I guess the good guys don't always win.

The Kung fu poster had the name Coleen Wing. Maybe we'll see her in Iron Fist, or it could be something for after The Defenders.

Thank goodness for the hidden spoiler thingie.

I'm half way through, really enjoying it.

As had been said, cottonmouth is rubbish compared to Kingping and not even a shade on Killgrave who I loved.

As with both DD and JJ, I'd describe the pace as...

slow slow slow slow, HUGE VIOLENCE, slow slow slow, BLOOD AND GORE, EXPLODING HEADS, slow slow slow slow slow, BLOODY HELL!!!!

I find both the DD's and JJ work MUCH better as binge watchers, which I guess is how they were made, than a weekly watch.

REALLY looking forward to the Punisher, More DD, Iron Fist and Defenders.

Just got to episode 5. It's great fun.

I quite enjoyed Jessica Jones, this is a bit more tongue in cheek though.
