As the question says.... fan switch feed? Or can you do better?

I piggy backed on fuse that goes live with ignition at the fuse box. That said on a standard S the fan circuit does that iirc so should be ok if you don't want to do the full run from the fusebox. My fans are now ECU controlled so not really an option for me.

Thanks for clearing that up Mike, I think Steve needs a new hat -

Expect the fan feed comes straight from the Alternator which is fairly near if the same as the Griff V8
Personally I would just run a new (fused) one through a relay but yep pick up the feed from the fan to operate it. Added bonus being that if the lights work you will not overheat. A bit like the brake lights wired into the cigarette lighter - think I mentioned it last weekend. As long as the sat nav is charging we know the brake lights are working.

Not sure you need a relay for 6w it's only 0.5 amp.. Won't do any harm until it breaks though I guess.
