Cal thinks he could have challenged 93 - Hmmm, Im not sure.

I don't think that was an unreasonable comment - for the two laps be MM lost the front braking for Honda, CC had taken 0.3 and then 0.8 out his lead, so he was definitely catching, and I think it was probably seeing that on his pit board that made MM push and eventually crash.

Sepang will be different as the whole circuit has been resurfaced and a number of corners reworked.Expect a few of the old guard to end up on the floor.
The newly off camber last corner if wet/damp will be a nightmare.

Thanks. Get bored with pages of commentary on commentary. They're all riddled with mistakes, inaccuracies and cock ups. Whining for hours on a forum doesn't make it better. For what it's worth, being expats around the world meant we jumped to MotoGP.com years ago and it's the best by far since the break up of Heuwen and Ryder, with Spalding and Mamola. But still they get it wrong.

I came back to see how much Cal bashing, Lorenzo's lost his mind, Rossi is a god and no surprises MM threw it down the road comments they'd be. Happened to feel compelled to actually write something which I haven't for months.

Doesn't help the only GP I've been to this year was Assen, but being there sat next to an Australian who was on a tour of Europe for 12 weeks, who'd been to the TT, then Assen for first time. Who said to me early on before the restart that he couldn't see well enough to pick out Miller and we'd helped him work out the order, to then see him win it, was a great day to be a race fan. Managed to get there for BSB as well, but that's all the racing I've actually attended this year.

Last year we were at Sepang for the GP and all the controversary that caused. Must do more racing next year ..... Fleegle, tell me about Jerez as we keep promising ourselves but have never quite got it sorted.

Simoncelli died 5yrs ago today. Amazed it's 5yrs already.

Why do BT have Nick Harris doing commentary during the warm up session, but not for the qualifying and race? Just why. It's almost worth paying the massive premium for a motogp.com account to avoid the diabolical commentary from Ryder and Huewen.

You're joking right?

I pay for MotoGP.com and Harris is a complete senile numpty consistently getting riders mixed up. He is a muppet.

How do you find the motogp.com?

Im using a line that gives a reliable 6-7meg and its crap, frequent video freeze etc, honestly thinking of using a dodgy service for next year, for no reason other than I want something that works (dont mind paying but refuse to pay the scammy crooks that are BT anything)

I don't know about "vitriol and abuse", it didn't seem to stretch to that. However, on that subject... I did make a light hearted quip in recent months about slowes staying on long enough to win and I got a long explanation (more like telling off) of his and his brothers accomplishments. It was the same when all we heard was how great redding was compared to smith. When was the last time anyone mentioned scott?

I think Vinales may have mistimed it by going Yamaha. The Suzuki is a true race winner now.
It wasn't a telling off it was just a light hearted reminder to look a little further back than the current over-riding-bikes-that-aren't-quite-good-enough crashfest

Same for me with BT (internet) but I probably get a reliable 0.5 of a meg. It's a lot worse if you try to watch it live. I think it's partly my st internet and the motogp.com being crap.

I had multiscreen for a year. On 150meg fiber and struggled while the race was on. maybe as lot sof people streaming from the same site. I don't know. it was that bad the following year I went to single screen thinking it would be better and cheaper. Not so. Still loads of buffering and freezing.

So not using it any more.

But really enjoyed the race. As said if Marc had not dropped the repsol would have Cal fought for the win. I really don't think so but very happy for his to get another win.

I think he would have, he was gaining. Marquez was pushing hard to stay ahead and dropped it. i.e. riding over the limit. Had he backed off a bit Cal would be there.

Congrats to Cal. Been awesome this year.

I think he would have too. Cal is mega ballsy and has nothing to lose most of the time, it takes that pressure off that the top guys have. Whether he would have cleared off who knows but he would have caught and battled with Marc I'm sure.

Do yourself a favour and buy an android box. I've watched every race this year on mine, streams vary in quality but generally I can find one up to normal TV standards, even had a few in full HD. I think I paid 65 quid for it and we use it pretty much every day. Not to mention all the films, series, etc. available. If it eventually breaks I'll happily buy another the next day, it's paid for itself.

Great racing across all three classes again, shame for Pasini crashing out of M2, he deserved a decent finish, still was very pleased to see Luthi grab the win on the line, would be nice to see one championship go down to the wire :-)

You won't here anything negative from me when in comes to MotoGP, the riders or in fact the commentators - in my opinion everyone makes mistakes and its petty to argue about trivial mistakes such as mistaking team mates briefly or missing an overtake etc, if people spot a commentators mistake then good for them in knowing their sport and really paying attention! I don't want some sort of robot spouting perfect facts at me, I'll take normal people who are passionate about their sport everytime, mistakes and all.

This year has been simply awesome imo and hats off to Dorna for what they've achieved with MotoGP as a whole in the last few years. If only F1 paid a single scrap of attention..

Here's hoping McPhee is recovering well.

Just read all of this thread!

I love the first page suggestions that Cal should have been on the second Repsol Honda, given the final result!

Cal has had a great season, and his current standing in the series suggests he has generally made the right moves at the right time - I really hope he does at least as well next year!

Shame MM dropped it, but I suppose he had nothing to lose!

Really looking forward to the final rounds.
