Hope it comes to something in the future. Bike of the TT for me. Hearing it and seeing it in person was something I won't forget. What. A. Noise.
+1. Sounded epic. Best sounding bike of the TT, I loved the sound of the R1 too but it wasn't as good as the Norton. They got some pretty good results this year too, for a small firm.

Well I've put my money down on one smile

Too good a chance to turn down, I think it'll be a total stunner and I've been musing over the electronics on latest kit, will make a really interesting and hopefully insanely quick ride. Lovely to buy British, an iconic name, very latest technology. It won't be a garage queen though, it'll be seen on racetracks and roads alike doing what it was made to do (well, not really as it'll only be me riding it)

Apparently mid-late 2018 delivery.

Lol at the noise comments. Those Ricardo engineers must be soooo pleased their incredible engineering knowledge has made it sound good innit? I've also bought from the heart, I really relate to that comment from an earlier poster, though mine's the poverty spec RR. Undecided over wheels/silver paint. But plenty of time to decide that. I believe I'm in about the last 10 folks to order, almost paid the price for wringing my hands over the decision.

Bit of a long wait but I'm sure it will be worth it.
Black is fastest isn't it?

Cheers smile

Well IoM colours are what should by rights be on there but cf weave is super cool. I'll get up to the factory and take a look at both before I decide. Cf wheels don't seem mich lighter than standards and that metallic red on stds looks totally awesome so probably save my money there. Just get the can and potentially silver probably

I don't mind the wait, gives me time to try and save up, and the anticipation will be great too

Does anyone have news of delivery dates yet for next year? I spoke to them a couple of weeks back and they now have at least one engine back because it was on a trolley in the lift when my contact saw it.

I guess it's undergoing massive dyno testing now to figure out what breaks and how it wants fuelling etc.

The frame was designed around this engine but adapted to the Aprillia so there's no chassis design needed for it.

Looking forward to seeing what they bring to the NEC. Just sold my 748SP so halfway to the purchase price now smile

Do you have a delivery date?

I really pondered long and hard about getting one, the ones on the stand at the bike show were stunning, but caution got the better of me. I hope it is as awesome as everyone wants them to be.
Hi Dakkon, sorry for the late reply, they are £44000.00. I could have had the last build slot which had payment cut off of late september. I think mine is due Jan, feb next year. I wasnt going register fr road use until i saw the youtube video of a customers bike being started. AWE inspiring stuff.

Im on the list for an rr aswell after visiting the show last Sunday, couldn’t resist it what a stunning looking bike in carbon with all the credentials to be a peach of a machine.
Chatted with Stuart garner about the bike and he is so passionate about the brand.
Deposit paid... He said delivery around December 2019.

If the bike matches half the passion of the Norton team we are both in for a treat. I haven't been able to attend this year. I would have loved to have been there for the V4 SS start up. Have you seen the video?

Yes, I was there when they started it, norton guys handed anyone who wanted them earplugs before firing it up, it was loud.
Going back up this Sunday with a few mates who haven’t been yet to... now where was that norton stand !!!

Going by the recent video, I'm actually more excited for the 650 Nomad twin.

I went to the launch with my Dad at the motorcylce museum with John Mcguinness, incredible bike and the noise is just mental - especially indoors hehe more moto gp than anything, definitly not a track day pass for sure.

They did get a few questions about producing more bikes but said theyd not have a business case and would prefer to target a niche market with the superbike.

ETA the V4 is designed to be able to convert to a twin I think for lesser models.

Are big capacity sports bikes still a thing? Im sure I saw that chrome bike at the show in london in early 2017.
The smaller bikes under £10k look more promising

Not sure what you mean by smaller bikes, new Superlight 650 will be approx £20k

According to Norton CEO, it's an 'Admin error' in filing
However, you would say that if you didn't want to lose the confidence of your buyers (ie investors, as they're the ones funding the new project)
Who knows what the truth is...
