They've never worked for me. I asked for a quote on my hornet. The competing prices were £200 but they wanted £2500.

One of my mates got a good deal though.

Try Principal Insurance

I've got an agreed value policy on mine and the bloke on the end of the phone knew his stuff.

Really don't understand all this knocking flux. I have quoted the lowest insurance on this thread. I also have a Cobra, XKSS, 335xd and TVR Cerbera as well as the motorcycles, so quite a varied range which lets me see how they deal with most aspects of vehicle insurance. Each year they are the cheapest. I've never had any problem with them, and even when they aren't the cheapest simply telling them that is enough for them to beat the quote.

I really don't know what you call a good insurance broker, but I'm struggling to think what else I'd want from a broker.

Based on my experience I am no longer a customer.

You must be one of the lucky ones.

I didn't get past the rude staff and have never bothered since.

They really don't like you Tonkers.....

Based on:

  • 30 years old
  • having a licence for two years
  • same for no claims
  • based in medium sized town in the midlands
  • garaged
  • 3000 miles a year
I quite bloody surprised actually; I'd have assumed Tonker level premiums with my lack of experience...

One who will be useful when you come to need them? Because, Flux aren't. On any level. In any way. At any time. For any reason.

If insurance wasn't a legal obligation, and the success of a business was based solely on efficacy and ability, Flux would have gone under in the first month. As it is, they have legal obligations on their side, and ultimately know that when picking the lesser of many evils most people will pick the one that costs the least, and furthermore won't actually claim should they need to for fear of endless inevitable reprisals and disappointments from the very people you've paid to help you.

They've absolutely got it made, whilst without having to even be good at it. Genius.

I managed to get a quote from Bennetts for a Ariel Ace or under £600 for a 39Yo with 10 years NCB. But went for the H2 that cost me a lot more and only 2 insurance companys could insure me. So with Carol Nash for now

this was last March

Perhaps there's a humblebrag tax? Did you try deselecting 'considerably richer than you'?

I've always had fair quotes off them & they seem to know their stuff.

Or was it: "I'm 'avin' a fag"?? Was a while back, but highly amusing.

You're doing something wrong I think. I got similar (test) quotes as you for a Panigale and RSV4, around the £400-600 mark, but 'only' £700-900 in the main for the Ace Sport. Old, 3 points, fairly poo postcode (not London tho') with 1 years no claims.

Yeah, I agree. There is something not right with the details you're throwing in Tonk.

If I'm getting quotes of circa £500 a year, with about two years of tiding experience, you should be less than that.

Triple check your details.
