I know, but then I ride 200 miles a week to work so unless it's dry and warm I don't feel the need to ride at the weekend. We've only had 1 proper nice day so far this year on a weekend.

I wanted to wait until all the salt is off the road before taking the tuono out.
Thats true, my poor thing has the famous road salt marks in places despite ACF50 and cleaning after each ride
This for me - ride all weathers, all year on scooter, plus I can't be arsed to detail my bike again.

OK - it's 90% because I can't be arsed to detail my bike again.

The further south you go, the higher the chance of rain and it happening in the morning on Sunday. frown Stoopid weather.

If that had come from a real biker I might have been upset...
If I was a real biker, I'd be joining the ride
Well it is at the weekend...
I'm on Grandparent duties, otherwise I would have found another excuse

'Fraid not. She's on the same Grandparenting duties

hehe Are you going to do a bit more social riding once you get your hipster chariot or will you be too busy oiling your beard?

That's it for me too, I'm just too lazy to wash the tuono after every ride if I go out on it in crap weather. I've got my commuter bike for that, which gets dirty as hell but my Tuono stay mint and clean. I did 1000 miles on it the end of last summer, think my last ride was around the end of October so I've not ridden it for 4 months frown

Well my oldest son was discharged last Saturday following a double hip osteotomy and I've just arrived back in hospital as it seems he contracted pseudonomas whilst he was in. They are concerned about it infecting his bones and he's probably going to be kept in for a week long IV antibiotic course.

That said, as it stands right now if people are still going then I'm in but am scratching my plans to stay locally in a hotel the night beforesmile

Yep it does annoy me - I hate cleaning bikes too. Have to every week with my sons mx bike. I did 9800 miles on my MV Dragster in 16 months and to be honest although it cleaned up nice (I cheated and paid someone £40 for a proper job) it did look beaten up in places

I'm still lurking with interest and crossing my fingers that the weather won't be as bad as the forecast. I'm going to be on the new steed and it will be loads more fun playing with some others than on my jack jones.

If that were me, based on the local weather forecast I've just watched I don't think I'd bother booking an hotel, it's still looking wet. Shame we're not going out tomorrow

Hope your son makes a speedy and good recovery too.

Thanks, he's back home now, I just have to run him back in every evening for IV antibiotics.

Obviously I'm no longer planning on staying but still coming unless it's solo!

Looking at the weather, I'm bowing out of this one. It's raining all morning and afternoon, and down on the coast, just in the afternoon.

Typical as today was stunning, but at least got out for a nice ride today.

As I'm not going, someone else will need to lead the ride

Yeah I'm out too, not only for the rain but the tuono has developed a cutting out issue frown went on a run today into Essex and it's cutting out after after being ridden for a while, seems fine when cold though. Could be the stator or coils, or God knows what else...

Thats not good, it's under warranty though? I've been out all night after work... Waiting for a few mates to turn up I thought I'd pull the campest pose I could. Got a few strange looks so put the visor tint down biggrin

Felt 18 again tonight riding about seeing this max power cars and being a typical tt

No I bought the bike privately so no warranty.

It has been running 100% in the 1000 miles i did in about 6 weeks in September/October so something has gone over the winter layup.

There's are couple of things I can test, starting with the stator as that's a common fault on the gen2's.
