Joking aside we did have a few memorable rides in Kent & Essex most of which were organised by Sc0tt. But since Sc0tt has stop riding no one else has picked up the batten and organised one which is a bit of a shame as we did have quite a good social calendar.
I organised a couple of ride outs but after the off in Belgium I did question how I'd feel if someone seriously injured themselves on a ride I'd organised which to some extent has put me off organising another one.
So now that Sc0tt's hung up his leathers we need a new organiser.....
Sc0tt, not spoken in a whiloe, what happened to the bike?I organised a couple of ride outs but after the off in Belgium I did question how I'd feel if someone seriously injured themselves on a ride I'd organised which to some extent has put me off organising another one.

The ride out in Belgium I went on was ace Andy, really enjoyed it. I'm thijnking of something similar this year, as a couple of friends have recently passed, although they are on 50bhp bikes, so I will take the new Monster and the OH as pillion.
I've done a few smaller trips out around areas I know, but outside local knowledge I am directionally challenged.

I don't mind leading this again in the highly likely scenario that Sc0tt doesn't have a bike in time. ... and as long as it's dry else I'll bring my scooter!
As for pace, any time a UK group ride in South East goes over 5 people, the pace is seriously reduced. In the past these have been slow paced runs.
Tis true. Too many any it becomes a mobile road block. As for pace, any time a UK group ride in South East goes over 5 people, the pace is seriously reduced. In the past these have been slow paced runs.
The most memorable I had was just me and you and muchos wheelies

I remember leaving my unit for the Essex ride with Chris, Pete and new rider Mick. He wondered what the fk was happening as we all went down Death Hill between the traffic well into three figures. It was his first group ride but luckly he was a very fast learner

I'll be on the Speed Triple which keeps speeds sensible, but I can't guarantee post winter wheelie-itis won't occasionally flair up 30s and 40s are obeyed. Elsewhere, a bit more flexibility shall we say.
The mix/number of riders usually dictates the pace, (about 1/3 of the people who say they will come generally turn up) but happy either way. There's been guys on 125s before and guys on brand new superbikes who couldn't keep up with 125 four strokes. Only one loss of riders before that I can remember, but that was a strung out huge group - in fact, I was on a bright red Ducati 996S marking the road to turn down and watched them sail straight past me... Even if you feel you are quick and it's a slow ride there's usually opportunities to spot flashes of paceyness in others who you may ride like you and can organise 2 or 3 person rides with them for the summer. I've met a bunch of people like that on here.
I'll optimistically throw out there Sunday 12th March 9am meet for 9.15 depart @ WJ King dealer/Harvest Petrol station near Brands Hatch, just off J3 of M25 - This would then be a 100 mile-ish loop into Kent/Sussex down to coast. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/51%C2%B023'00....
Alternative date would be the following Sunday 19th if people have lots of issues with 12th. I'll post just after this with attendee list for people to add to along with their bike (mix of bike types coming dictates the route to an extent).

Sc0tt - I've still got the Fazer 1000 commuter at the unit which is insured any rider. Yours for the day if you fancy a ride out
