Motorbike Security - London
Discussion
Just after the IRA bombing in Manchester, when I worked in an office opposite Bootle St Police Station my mountain bike (Raleigh Maverick!) was pinched despite being chained to a lamp post. The armed police sentry said, "Oh yes, I saw a van stop there and wondered what they were up to."

Indeed, until Sadiq the tt forces us all into more expensive, newer bikes to line the thieves pockets.
Boris started it, but Sadiq will finish it sadly. Precisely the reason the expedited me getting rid of my March 2006 registered Honda blackbird one year ago while it was still worth something. Basically not welcome in central London in 2020 without paying daily. Thieves must be rubbing their hands with glee at the prospect of more up to date choice.I'm lucky to have free underground secure parking from my employer currently.

Slightly off topic but don't they use the G36 now?, would look even scarier to a bike thief!.
