Yeah don't bother with the CAT link pipe, get that Ti decat link pipe on there
Best sounding engine IMO, if I ever change my Tuono in several years I think one of the few contenders will be a V4 1100 Factory

It's fine, MOT has no check for it and there's no emissions test. Mine came with cats from the factory (in the base of each can) but has had the akras fitted from pretty much new, zero issues.Apparently the race ECU unlock and the decat pipe give you another 6-7bhp, gets rid of the flapper and reduces mpg by 6-7
And unleashes the noise

Tc was something I found the same with. Adjust the position a bit and naturally you stop doing it after a few hundred miles... I did initially exactly the same though and kept putting my tc higher K3 are meant to be a nice summer tyre similar to the sp but I've never tried them. If similar then yes it is annoying having to get heat in them before you push on unless weather is already nice and warm
Get your ecu flashed by gabro. Will sort the roughness. He's just cracked the 1100 ecu... Check the dyno before and after, it's bloody mental
Do you have a smaller tank? Mines 18.5Ltd I think. I know I get about 110 miles and another 20 on reserve
Map meanings are completely different on mine but basically they more race ones make it feel more snatchy and town pace but take away the engine braking
Mine S is softest and the one I use in winter cold or town
T is a middle ground and R is minimal engine braking. I ran R at Snett and it felt perfect but it's very sensitive
You won't go wrong with m7rr try 34/5f and 35/36 rear. Tc on 4-6 and that will allow fast road pace without the back really moving at all
I'll probably be out couple evenings this week and sunday to go finch if you wanna get out for a blast

Our maps say the same words but mean different things... Madness I know! Just check the Aprilia forum, loads of convos on there as so many people got confused going from the 1000 to 1100
What might do you good would be to go on track with it on a novice day or novice group. Get you feeling now much the bike can offer as it helps the confidence in the road (in my opinion)
Don't think you are alone in saying you're finding it intimidating or starting to get used to it. I found exactly the same! It takes some time to feel comfy. I've done 2500 miles since September and I feel really good on it now but it wasn't like that at first
Lumpy like a twin at low revs, vague front end for me at first, bloody snatchy and torquey and a bit heavier than I was used to... All this went with riding, riding and more riding

Like most Aprilias the tank range will be HIGHLY dependent on where and how you're riding I've been doing some commuting on mine and the fuel light came on at 90 miles, that leaves 4 litres in the tank so around 25 miles (to be safe)
On a longer run I can get about 120-25 miles out the tank in total, and sitting on the motorway at 80mph I'm hoping for 130-140 miles....
That works out anywhere between 30-38mpg on the big rotax v-twin with 140bhp, so that's not that much less for a 170bhp v4 with that noise
It's the same with the v-twin, happiest at 4k when going slow but it'll sit at 3k rpm.
It works out as 2nd gear for 20mph, 3rd for 30, 4th for 40 for around 3k rpm, that's on 15/42 gearing though.
With the stock gearing at 30mph I'd need to be in 2nd gear (3400rpm) whereas with -1/+2 3rd gear is 3000rpm at 30mph. Might be worth looking into a gearing change on yours?
