New Addition to the fleet, Collecting tomorrow..
Discussion
Well an interesting couple of weeks looking for a CBX1000 in my price range led me too a very clean Pro-Link model that was fitted with a Kerker 6-2 exhaust system, went for a ride and despite sounding utterly fantastic (no other vehicle turns as many heads as the big six when blipped at traffic lights)
it left me totally underwhelmed, I basically realised that it was nowhere near as good as my CB1300F, and that it was to close in performance to my
'79 Honda CB900F with i'm in the middle of a restoration into a Freddie Spencer Replica, So I decided on another tack, whatever bike I chose had to be at least 15 years old so it would qualify for "classic insurance" So after a bit of looking about I found this lovely low mileage (17k) 1999
Honda CBR900RRX FireBlade at Hunts in Manchester. so tomorrow afternoon i'm picking it up, wish me luck...
Here are it's future stablemates....

Lovely looking bike (I have an RRX as well), but the enormous double bubble screen ruins the styling for me, and they rarely improve wind noise and buffeting IME.
Top tip: When you get it try to remove the inner fairing panels, especially the right hand side one that covers the fusebox. The front screws that attach them to the fairing very commonly seize up and it's easy to end up ripping out the brass insert in the fairing. If yours come out intact then re-assemble with lots of copper grease. If not you'll have to carefully bond the insert back in with epoxy and then clean the threads with a tap. Much better not to discover this if you need to access the fusebox on the side of the road.
Also check the usual reg/rect connectors and wiring.

I like 900 Fireblade, though only the last 2002-2003 model.
At one point I had two 2002 red CBR954RR Hondas, both red. Looked exactly the same.
Sold one to a friend, kept one, we went on Alp rides together.
Fantastic bike in almost every respect (would be great if it had ABS).
You are the most passive aggressive narcisstic poster I've ever seen. At one point I had two 2002 red CBR954RR Hondas, both red. Looked exactly the same.

Post some more pics of your bikes and car please.

I thought you just picture wed.
No.I thought you just picture wed.
Do you know ho-lee-fuk, I only ask because you replied to him. I like posting my own pictures, I think it gives "the plebs" something to aspire too.
Now, don't bother me again!
