Oil cooled Bradshaw engine Montgomery. Don't know of another in existence, although someone reckoned one's being restored in South America somewhere smile

I still have my RS (though different exhaust fitted now):
If I had the space Id never have sold it but I already have a show piece bike on the work bench, my boys race bike, my road bike and track bike. 2 mountain bikes for him and me too not that I ever use mine so Im maxed out with space

They were an incredible bike at the time. Mine was 18 months old when I got it and half it fell off at the IOM TT but I wouldnt have changed it for the world

I had a Gilera Nordwest years ago. Wish I'd kept it.
Me too. K97 XOD. My first road legal bike. Rode it to Le Mans within 48 hours of passing my test, had a brilliant time on it. Paid 1500 quid for it and got my money back five years later.

I inherited this 1977 Silk 700S from my Dad.

It was as queer as a bottle of crisps.

Amazing Spondon handling, fantastic brakes and the world's strangest 660cc water cooled two stroke parallel twin.

It was a vile, gutless motor, with an incredibly tall bottom gear, which made it a pig to ride in town.

I think that only about 125 were ever made.

I kept it for a couple of years before selling it (for less than £4000...)

Wish I'd kept the damn thing. Not because of what it would be worth, but because I now find the weirdness strangely appealing.

I also find its weirdness appealing! Gets my vote.

I remember these well, Mat Oxley on a TZR250 and Barry Woodland(on the GSXR) had a right royal battle that year, I still have my copy of MCN..

Shame you never got it sorted .

I bought Matt's TZR and used it club racing for a couple of years racing against the likes of Sean Emmett and his brother.

I was crap, they disappeared into the distance.... (but they were on 350 LCs)
Small world...Must have been a lot of fun trying anyway...

I had an RVF 400 as my first big bike, they're not particularly common anymore, not sure if the RSV4 counts as unusual.

I've had a few weirdoes:

MZ ETZ 301 Saxon Fun. Never seen another on the road, it was terrifically unreliable and slow, but somehow still amazing fun.

My third Buell, an XB12R. I've had two XB12R's and an XB12S lightning. I miss the lightning very much but wanted something with clip ons.

VFR400 NC21. Much less common than the well known NC30 and NC24 models.

Ones without pics off the top of my head:

Gas Gas Pampera 250
Kawasaki KE100
Yamaha FZR400RR 3TJ - not that rare, but you don't really see many about.
