I'll let you comment again on this in the next month or two after you go out for the first time on that new bike and you give it beans out of a slow roundabout or corner haha

I don't think I can stand much more of standing in the garage looking at my bikes, I am sure this time last year it was cold but dry and sunny frown . Although my memory is st so maybe it was also crap. Also looking forward to trimming a bush or two come the nice weather biggrin
Last winter was wet and miserable, one before we got out nearly every weekend, I've hardly been out at all this winter although I'm off work tomorrow and the forecast is sunny and 7C so I'm going to try and get out for the afternoon.
Yep couple more weeks. I was on track end Feb last year... Cold but dry

I don't think there's much choice about wheelies on the tuono, v4 or v-twin biggrin

Turn the throttle in 1st or 2nd and up she goes!

I've only done one (involuntary!) wheelie on mine, 1st gear and a tickle of throttle and it went up what felt like 3ft, was probably more like 3 inches though hehe

Yeah I hate it when it's all together, I've got car and bike insurance within a week of each other!, bike has been SORN for a while though as it spent months waiting for parts to be fixed, can't wait to get back on it though.

the usual blasts out to Hartside / weardale / St Marys loch etc
TT for a week in early June (1st time there)
Scotland trip with the other half on the triumph in late June
Highlands trip with the lads In July

then start looking forward to dark nights and winter again.... grumpy

I have to..

Try sell the R1
Try and sell the SX

Prep the 2014 GSXR750 for track.

Ponder which road bike I may buy...
S1000R
Tuono V4
1200 Monster
690 SMC-R

Probably end up keeping the do it all SX.

What things bike wise or other are you looking forward too come the warmer days/lighter nights.
I am biking daily even now (-1C in the morning and fog).
For summer the plan is to go over Swiss Alps many a time, and also make a two-day ride over Stelvio Pass (it's a bit too far from me for a one-day trip), gf takes 3.4L BoxsterS with sport suspension and loud exhaust and I take my quiet but lovely 2002 CBR954RR and we will go there, have a blast, take a video, stay overnight in some hotel with a spa. That will be awesome!
Right now I am waiting with excitement for SwissMoto exhibition that starts this Thursday. I really want to see the new GSXR1000R in black-blue. bounce

You've said it! I have 4 bikes to insure and and two cars, and the cars are expensive, and the bills come all together. irked
I've already paid road tax for all six of them beginning of the year.
(I am not based in Britain).

I rode S1000R and 1200R back-to-back. PErsonally, S1000R feels lazy when turning at speed, I almost flew out twice. It's fast and very loud, but feels like a tool somehow. 1200R was really great though, comfy, agile, not too loud and did not vibrate much either, really great bike. Haven't ridden Tuono though, but 1100R is beautiful piece of machinery!

Well today sees the first glimmer of hope weather wise up here, the sun has a thicker warmer feel/look to it. I'm actually starting to feel happy again.

I'll call it on the way today, its sunny again and temps consistently over 10deg for the next few day = spring is on the way. smile

My bike is properly s****y being a daily commuter currently - better weather means I can keep it looking nicer for longer and also be able to keep on top of it because I'm not freezing myself outside or icing up the bike itself by just cleaning it.
I might also be inclined to do some fun weekend riding too.

I'm sat outside on the quay on my lunch break and it feels properly spring like. 12 degrees and sunshine, the benefits of living right on the south coast. Looking forward to dry roads on the ride home

Great choice of road bikes right there. S1000R has mentioned previously is maybe a little 'souless' but by no means slow!

We ride in our little group most of whats listed there. The guys with the trumpet 1050R is px for a 2017 Monster 1200S but waiting for one to test ride.

Personally my money would be on a Euro 4 Superduke as its more user friendly or 2015 onwards Aprilia factory

General direction is favourable even if we do get some rougher weather again. Been out a few times in deepest winter on the 98 R1 so it's looking un-loved now. I've just removed the top yoke for painting so it's no suprise the weather's turned nice when it's in an un-rideable state.

Still at least the warmer temps and lighter evenings might tempt me to rebuild the 08 R1 track bike I crashed at the end of last year.

Looking forward to a trip up to Santa Pod with the kids.
Camping and climbing weekend away with the lads
I've never been to Brands Hatch so I'm going to tick that box at some point this summer too.

March 1st tomorrow, I know it isn't spring officially but I like to think of it as the start of the biking year.

Anyone picking a new 17 reg bike up tomorrow?

Thick ice on the car at 0800 this morning but seen lots of bikes about at lunchtime.

Roads need to be cleaner and warmer for me still.
