First I'll say I don't ride a motorbike, but I empathise with you all as I ride a pedal bike.
I wonder if any of you ride the A11 near Wymondham, Norfolk because May 2016 I encountered in the Norwich bound outside lane a terrible potholed surface - I'm sure my car took off for several yards, and for a biker it could be lethal.
I don't travel this road frequently, and yesterday, lo-and-behold it's still like it! I attach part of an email I sent to Highways England last May, and part of their response. If anyone has been injured this may be useful to them. I'd like to get it fixed, and wonder how best to progress this - I note the Police Commissioners HQ is just around the corner, so an email to him may be worthwhile. I'd also like the guy at Highways England/Amey to be taken to task. Advice anyone?
----------------------------------------------
I am absolutely outraged at the lack of maintenance on the A11, in particular there is a section of carriageway which I had the misfortune of driving along yesterday, and I believe my vehicle was airborne for several yards! I notice this defect in the road was reported to yourselves on 21st January.
Why have you left this terrible defect so long?
---------------------

The A11 is inspected every week to ensure that it remains safe for you to use.

We make potholes safe, usually within 24 hours and if we identify a need for more significant work to repair the road, we will prioritise it through our scheduled works programme.

--------------------------------
Which DID NOT answer my specific question of why this defect had been left since 21st January! I would now like an answer please and not the weasle words you have used above, which amount to the excuse I was expecting. Just answer the question please, and try to justify the huge salary and pension that people like you receive (notice I haven't said earn) - And in future maintaining the road properly might be a good move as well.

There was no further response for them. FP

Thank God. It's the bike meet at Route 11 exactly where you said today. For a second I thought there'd been an accident.

My apologies, I didn't intend the title to cause any alarm.
