Wonder if you can negotiate to be awarded a portion of your team mates wages for each point that you score above him in each race? biggrin

Yes, that! Well measured performance by Vinales, feel a bit sorry for Dovizioso (again) though smile

Well done Dovi.
Pretty much as planned for Maverick.
Good to see Rossi up there.
Lorenzo, oh dear. I'm sure he'll get there though.

Great stuff from Espargaro and I can't wait to see more from Zarco.
Not a bad start to the season, once the race got started.

Enjoyed that. We've come a long way from a few years back when there was no Suzuki, KTM or Aprilia, Ducati was st and the rest of the field were CRTs. Brilliant now.

A great championship opener

Well done to both Zarco and Espargo, that's putting the cat amongst the pigeons

Did I see Lorenzo looking for his indicators?

Impressed by the ride from Maverick; thought he'd run & hide from the start. However, he kept his cool, when he could have lost patience and done something rash; delivered the win as we expected, just not in the way expected. Other good 'old head' rides from Dovi, Rossi & Marquez...scoring points consistently could pay off even more so this year.

And, I don't want to sound like a broken record, but that race was everything the F1 wasn't.

yes

I dipped into F1 today, spent about 5 mins looking at it then turned it off. After pratting about with Kodi for an hour I just subscribed to the video pass. Cool having multiple screens and being able to review without spoilers.

What a great race.

No matter who you support , the fact so many riders are quick enough to podium is a good sign for the rest of the season.

Total bummer for zarco though .

The KTMs were 16th & 17th place 33s & 39s off the winner, probably the track conditions keeping everyone pretty close but 33s off the winner is usually 10th/11th place, 39s 12th/13th.

Or it might be a good sign of close racing this year.

It was a short race though, so those times are a bit distorted.

Great race, amazed by Zarco at the start and gutted for him. Great win by Vinales. Marquez seems to have his sensible head on again and took a steady 4th, he's still the favourite for me this year.

I've always liked Lorenzo, but once again he's proving that unless conditions are perfect, then he's simply not up to it. Disappointed.

Heuwen manages commentate on the rest of the field whilst somehow only ever really talking about Rossi. It's quite a skill.
I'm excited to try the C5 highlights tonight. If the commentary is done by literally any other creature, facility or instrument in the entire universe capable of making noises, I'll never ever look at BT Sport again. For, lo, everything about Heuwen is terrible.

It'll no doubt be the same package C4 had, BT Sport's commentary. Probably because they have the UK TV rights.
