So the KTM isn't that slow through the trap. They've got some work to do.

They are using a screamer engine so it's pretty tough to tame, getting the electronics working being key. So when they are changing direction and applying power it's moving about a lot and spinning up the rear too, so I guess the top speed might be a few mph on top if it can be controlled. Engine power/top speed seems to be very good.

Screamer engine and a tubular steel trellis frame chassis. They aren't making ti easy on themselves.

I think Folger might be one to watch for the season, seems very impressive given all 3 practice sessions. Looks to be a belter of a season ahead.

Why have Michelin changed the tyre compounds, out of interest?
Obviously Rossi seems to be struggling with the new compound; but what makes them reach the decision to change them from last year?

They decide a tyre that suits Vinales is worth more in marketing?

I'm just intrigued as to why they've gone for a softer front. Looks like Rossi's season is over before it started if Qatar is anything to go on. What was wrong with the michelins from last year? Who makes the decision?

I think qualifying will be held tomorrow before the race.

I am genuinely gabberflasted that for a night race where rain/wet tracks mean they don't go out, why do they not have a contingency in place such as hiring squeegee trucks or jet engines on the back of a truck like they do in the USA for night oval races.

It's not as if it has never rained in Qatar before.

This is getting embarrassing for the organizers.

2 hours in, a decision should have been announced by now.

I'm switching over to the live speedway at 1700.

Bah, what a waste of a few hours!

No qualifying today or tomorrow. Grid positions based upon free practice times so Vinales on pole.
